Project: NEOM Saudi Arabian Bechtel Company is appointed to provide executive project management consultancy services (including technical, commercial, and construction management) for the development of certain defined aspects of the NEOM Infrastructure in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. This position is for an Engineering Automation and Digital Delivery Engineer to be a member of the Automation and Digital Delivery team who will develop, manage, organize, and verify complex design information, within a model based integrated digital engineering environment.Team member will be supporting the multi-discipline design delivery teams The successful candidate must have strong organization and teamwork skills, problem-solving abilities, and able to effectively communicate with all stakeholders. The Engineering digital lead is assigned to the project engineering management team and reporting directly to the Project Digital Delivery Manager. Responsibilities: This position will be responsible for delivering digital solutions related to design and construction management workflows such that information required to support the project life cycle is identified, captured, shared and integrated in a systematic approach.The candidate will be interfacing and coordinating with project Digital Delivery Manager, BIM Manager and other engineering disciplines, and stakeholders to deploy digital solutions, technology, processes and procedures to satisfy information deliverables per customer's Exchange Information Requirements (EIR) and Asset Information Requirements (AIR). This role willbe responsible for: Responsible for contributing content to support the creation of the project-specific BIM Execution Plan (BEP), and the management of the Project Information in a coordinated and high-quality manner according to the BEP and the project information requirements Executes work to an engineering automation and building information modeling estimates and work plans in accordance with project scope, schedule, and budget Provides cross-functional coordination and methods of integration in alignment with Project Information Management Plan, BEP, Project Information Delivery Plan, including, but not limited to 3D Model Development, 4D Integrated Schedule, 5D Integrated Model Based Quantity & Costing, project Life-Cycle Asset Information Model & Data Handover (6D) within an integrated Common Data Environment (CDE) Supports the deployment of innovative processes and methodologies Responsible for supporting the development of the Project Information Model within the Integrated Digital Environment including design models, drawings, and other non-graphical data to support downstream processes Assures technical adequacy of work products in accordance with project information delivery requirements, contract, and industry codes and standards Demonstrate ownership of assigned actions to self and shows initiative in problem solving Interfaces with construction execution and modeling tools to facilitate design solutions and construction implementation Evaluates, selects, and applies standard engineering methods, techniques, procedures and criteria, using independent judgment with limited oversight Supports maintaining the Building Information Model, and corresponding Project Information and Asset Information processes Keep up to date on best practice BIM implementation methodologies Supports the application Subject Matter Experts (SME's) in defining the configuration requirements for setting up the necessary application integration and data exchange requirements for the project Responsible for establishing processes and methodologies for streamlining design coordination and interface management across the internal/external stakeholders Establish processes and methodologies for model collaboration, federation and coordination Continually seeks ways in which the Project Information can be utilized to support the project and drive efficiency in processes Supports BIM Manager with BIM delivery responsibilities and providing project BIM training and support as required Responsible for establishing processes for integrating supply chain information, construction as-built information, and final as installed information into Building Information Model Coordinate closely with other technical disciplines in planning and executing work as an integrated team Maintains alignment and coordinates model information relative to engineered characteristics Qualifications and Skills: Basic Qualifications: BS degree in Engineering, Construction, Computer Science, or Information Management, from an accredited university, with at least 12+ years of relevant experience or in lieu of degree, 19+ years of experience Minimum Qualifications: 5+ years of experience in digital delivery and engineering automation Advanced training and experience using Revit, Civil3D and processes for managing and collaborating content within CDE Experience in setup and configuration of CDE (BIM360, ProjectWise) for project information management and configuration control of the BIM life-cycle data Strong technical writing skills (writing technical instructions, procedures, etc.) Experience with model-based Quantity Take-offs & model data management/extraction Experience in EPC Projects, and management of Project Information CDE environment Experience participating in 3D Model Reviews Experience with BIM and CAD tools and methodologies (e.g., Autodesk Revit, AutoCAD, Navisworks, etc) Experience extracting data from automation tools for use by project stakeholders Experience setting up and configuring BIM and CAD and automation tools Ability to take on additional responsibilities, maximize efficiency, manage priorities Preferred Qualifications: Experience executing an EPC project using BIM and integrating the model with the other downstream systems and tools to support procurement, construction and T&C and the back-end development activities necessary to perform that integration Experience in GeoBIM for integrating design models with existing conditions Experience in creating AR/VR models for client presentation, value engineering and optioneering Experience with setting up BIM on projects per ISO 19650 requirements Experience working with procedures meeting quality assurance programs such as ISO-9000 Experience with configuration of CDEs for WIP, Shared, Issued content (i.e., BIM360, ProjectWise, Aconex, etc) Experience using PowerBI for dashboarding Experience with developing work-process diagrams, data modeling and configuration control of digital assets Experience coordinating with A/E design firms and subcontractors throughout the design and procurement phases to ensure model and end deliverables contain necessary information per EIR, PIR, AIR Experience working within the Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) functions with a strong understanding of cross-functional EPC work processes and the applications used for project execution Experience with model federation and clash management processes using Navisworks, and BIM360 Experience with interoperability tools for model data compliance checking
