Job Description


To ensure John Crane achieves a competitive advantage and delights customers through a project delivery performance by providing leadership for overall project execution - planning, execution, monitoring & control and close-out. Ensure proper project governance and quality assurance per the company\'s project management objectives, policies and procedures Duties & Responsibilities To lead and coordinate dedicated project teams (including sales, engineering, procurement, quality, Project/EPC, Customer/OEM, and others) delivering Global Strategic projects on time and in full (OTIF). End-to-end responsibility for converting project orders into customer deliveries. To perform project risk evaluation throughout the entire project lifetime identify issues jeopardising a successful project completion and implement effective risk management actions. To act as John Crane\'s single point of contact to support the customers for post-order activities. Creating and maintaining detailed execution schedules for each major project part of your portfolio. Maintain effective communication channels with the client OEM/EPC organisation and internal stakeholders. Attending clarification/kick-off meetings etc., and resolution of any conflict between the pre-engineered agreement and the contractor or OEM standard specification. Work with global and local procurement to ensure that any pre-procurement of long lead items is performed. Manage customer change requests to ensure an optimal solution for successful project delivery and no or minimal commercial impact on John Crane. In conjunction with manufacturing operations, ensure that the project is completed in line with the agreed customer schedule and budget. To coordinate any post-delivery issue resolution by following the eQMS incident management process. Implement lessons learnt and continuously improve project management processes, leading to world-class execution and project performance. The Individual Technical Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Degree educated in a technical discipline. Electrical, Mechanical, or Chemical Engineering is preferred. 15+ years of experience in the Oil and Gas / Petrochemical projects business with at least 5 years working as a Project /Contract Manager/customer service manager. Ability to achieve the agreed goals and objectives by constantly focusing on a set of priorities. Excellent communication, negotiation and presentation skills, both verbal and written. Commercially very astute with a proper understanding of basic finance. Strong facilitation skills and experience operating in a matrix environment to find solutions and compromises under time pressure. Good knowledge of Microsoft suite of products, including MS Project. Ability to read, interpret, and explain complex project specifications and drawings. Strong level of cultural awareness and capability to adapt behavior accordingly. Travel up to 20%. Planning and Decision-Making: Ability to make quick decisions regarding complex project issues, reducing risk to John Crane and the customer. Empower project team members to make quick decisions to keep projects on track Key Internal and External Relationships: Internal and external customer-facing role. Ability to collaborate and influence effectively with key internal and external stakeholders across multiple regions and cultures. Impact and Scope: Critical project delivery role influencing the success of strategic global projects - project delivery manager will develop business acumen, contracts and commercial knowledge through managing complex strategic projects.
