Substation Automation System Design Engineer - HV Substations (Software & Network)
Experience : 8+ Years
Qualification: Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering
Must Have

• Experience in developing the system architecture and functional design specification of Substation Automation System (SAS) for HV substations and selecting respective subsystems/devices (Substation SCADA, HMI, Network components, configuration tools, communication & cyber security), inputs/outputs and detailing its interconnection, metering block diagram, deviations list
• Experience in SAS detail engineering, configuration of devices, selection of communication protocols, parameterization
• Hands on experience in developing logics & HMI for AC substations (related to primary equipment monitoring & control, Load shedding, load sharing, PQ controls, Synchronization etc. )
• Hands on experience in SCADA - Basic configuration (Mimics, Tags, Direct Interfacing, Gateway interfacing, IO and DB configuration)
• Experience in design and detailing communication topology, Configuration of communication equipment, ports, communication protocols (ICE 61850, IEC101 & IEC104, DNP3 and Modbus) to ensure its integration
• Hands on experience in working with IEDs on IEC 61850 protocol in creating *.IEC, ICD, CID, SCD files.
• Experience in SAS network engineering, admin & IT development ( PC handling, Windows application, PC configurations virus scanners, interface backups)

Desirable to have
Working experience with Siemens SAS system
Experience in SAS bid preparation
Knowledge in integrating SAS with RPC system
Knowledge in complete lifecycle of SAS engineering in a substation project
Knowledge in SAS testing, debugging
Experience in networking - Routing & Firewall basics (rule creation, implementation, testing, firmware updates, interfacing)
Familiarity with troubleshooting tools
Experience in customer interfacing and interacting with internal and external stakeholders
Technical team management skill
German language skill
Proficient with MS office tools including Visio or equivalent and other applicable software programs
