The Semantics Manager is responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining semantic strategies to ensure efficient data harmonization across multiple data sources. You will establish common business definitions, and work to streamline data retrieval and analysis in our healthcare-oriented environment. The role involves a keen understanding of technical terminology used in healthcare and life science product quality testing and laboratories. Responsibilities and Duties: Develop, implement, and oversee a comprehensive semantic strategy for data mapping and harmonization across various sources. Collaborate with data analysts, scientists, and other stakeholders to establish common business definitions. Facilitate efficient data retrieval, analysis, and reporting based on a unified semantic framework. Keep abreast of technical terminology related to product quality testing in the healthcare industry and ensure its accurate integration into the data environment. Partner with relevant teams to drive data quality, integrity, and robustness. Coordinate with IT teams and data source owners for the integration of new data sources into the semantic framework. Establish and maintain comprehensive data governance policies and procedures. Train other team members and stakeholders on semantic best practices and standards. Monitor the effectiveness of the semantic strategy and make continuous improvements. Why you Basic Qualifications: A bachelor\'s degree in computer science, information systems, or a related field. A master\'s degree or higher is preferred. Experience in data management, data governance, data analysis, or a related field. Deep understanding of semantic frameworks and data harmonization strategies. Familiarity with healthcare industry terminology, particularly in product quality testing and laboratory settings. Proficient in using data management tools and software. Exceptional analytical skills and attention to detail. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to collaborate effectively with various teams and stakeholders. Strong organizational and project management skills. Knowledge of privacy regulations and data security standards in the healthcare sector is a plus.
