About Freshworks STS Software Academy: Freshworks STS Software Academy () is a social impact initiative for underprivileged students (+2 or 10+3 diploma) from low-income families who are unable to afford conventional college education but have the right motivation, aptitude & aspiration to learn software skills & want to build a career in technology. More . The FSSA training programme comprises of 2 tracks: 1) Tech-skills Track (Programming, Testing, Computer fundamentals etc) 2) Life-skills Track (English Communication & Personality Development) FSSA is backed by our parent company Freshworks India Private Limited (popularly known as ). Freshworks is a fast-growing SAAS product company based in Chennai (Headquartered in the US) with over 4000 employees in its Chennai office and 600+ employees in its global offices - USA, EUR & AUS. : Owning Academy\'s English & Llife Skills track Owning Quality of learning outcomes of all tracks (all aspects of tracking, reporting & iterating). Running the Academy end to end following the governance & culture code prescribed by Freshworks. Managing the teaching & admin staff of the academy project. Be good at leading multiple tracks/programmes in parallel within the Academy space. Identify Learning breakdowns & drive initiatives to improve learning outcomes. Carry out all academy operations like student well-being initiatives, discipline, leave management, parent-academy interactions, student intake/exit process, attendance of staff, publishing results, announcements, training for students/staff etc. Publishing report-cards each month, publishing & maintaining curriculum, assessments, in-class activity across all the tracks of Academy every month in the Academy Portal. Running Academy transparently & open-sourcing all the good practices for others to imbibe/re-use the academy\'s best practices, curriculum & tools. Qualifications Minimum Experience/Education Someone with a formal degree/masters in Education is expected. Overall experience of 8+ years in the education space with 3+ years of managing teaching-staff & admin-staff at education institutions. We will look for someone who has run smaller academies & managed teaching-staff. Preferred Experience/Education: Preferably someone who has worked with government school students of Tamilnadu. Preferably someone who is savvy in using ed-tech platforms to create reports, represent/publish curriculums, track student/staff performance using digital tools. The role (Academy Coordinator) will report to Director CSR The role (Academy Coordinator) will be managing the careers & appraisals of 6+ Teaching staff & 3+ Admin staffs (Independent consultants) of the Academy. This role will set the rigor & pedagogy of our Academy. This person to be a strong culture fit for Freshworks, operate with high integrity & student empathy, eventually to be groomed as a Director of Social Impact.
