Clean Air Location
New Delhi Reporting to
CEO Background CEEW and the Clean Air Fund with other partners, have launched a global initiative - Our Common Air that supports and accelerates clean air in more places around the globe. The initiative would operate at a global scale but act to motivate and support local, regional and sectoral actions that eliminate air pollution at its sources. The partners are initiating an 18-month process to design and launch this global network initiative. We envision it building on existing efforts by international organisations, civil society and the private sector by bringing fragmented efforts together in a way that amplifies their impact, as a foundation for faster, deeper, more effective clean air action in more places. The resulting initiative could take a variety of forms: a coordinating framework and infrastructure for existing regional and sectoral initiatives, a financing facility, a motivating and/or binding set of global targets, or something else. The goal is to bring together strategic thinking, scientific grounding, and immersion in sectoral realities to develop an initiative that accelerates clean air in more places. The dialogue and resulting initiative will complement but not be limited to being a part of the current \xe2\x80\x9cinternational\xe2\x80\x9d system for governing air quality. Job Purpose The Lead Coordinator will drive the conceptualisation, planning and delivery of the preparatory phases of the project, envisaged as an 18-month set of consultations across different continents. The Lead will ensure the consultations are attended by the right people, have the right preparatory material, are well-facilitated and lead to dynamic outcomes that are fundable and supportable by a wide network of stakeholders. They will liaise with staff members leading complementary work at CEEW, CAF and other partners to ensure alignment between the dialogues and the broader clean air action ecosystem. S/he will be the one-point contact for the CEO for strategic communications, organising high-level convenings, and end-to-end project management across the initiative and ensuring successful outcomes. S/he will have a say in guiding the work, shaping its intellectual structure and dynamics, while ensuring that a growing circle of experts, thought leaders, political influencers and champions is engaged and supportive towards the initiative. The post holder will be accountable for powering the in-person meetings, which are the engine for building Our Common Air. Key Responsibilities
