Inviting applications for the role of Consultant - Technology Events Coordinator

In this role, you will be responsible for crafting clean, functional code that flawlessly suits the needs of the company. Your main focus will be coding and ensuring high performance and responsiveness to requests. To support Engineer using Agile Methodology and should have an end to end understanding of business use cases, to transform them into an effective and strategic solution. Work with business people to have a real time problem and, craft the solution which really fits into client needs.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver a high level of customer service while supporting end users offsite. Support includes, but is not limited to laptops, mobile devices, audio & video equipment and Client efficiency tools/software e.g. Microsoft Egnyte etc.
  • Meet and work with event coordinators to perform site visits and test room configurations. Plan technical delivery, support, logistics, and budget requirements for events
  • Responsible for all vendors, logistics, and hotel especially around AV and IT connectivity
  • Develop technical requirements for meetings, in coordination with the Event Services team members, the GTO team, and WW IT Service and perform post meeting analysis to identify areas for future improvement
  • Detail technical equipment, vendor contacts, logistics, hotel and room information related to events
  • Participate in local, regional, and global projects as appropriate to evaluate new technologies for potential applicability within client especially for offsite meetings.
  • Good project management skills - developing work breakdown structure, identifying and communicating risks and lead local delivery of agreed upon scope of works. Working under the guidance of the assigned project coordinator and closely Global Meeting Services, external partners and vendors.
  • Develops, Maintains, Coordinates and owns delivery of: Project, equipment and carrier timelines
  • Connectivity - Data and Voice. Backend - Network, Server and PABX. AV - Audio and Video Services
  • Actively communicates and collaborates with the Director of Workplace Technology & Events, Key partners and meeting organizers to understand business needs, identify key areas for improvement, and implement all needed services and solutions in an optimal way
  • Assist with cost models, budgeting and validates purchase requests against client approved solutions
  • Identifies & recommends vendors to engage locally which carry out event implementation & delivery
  • Assists with negotiating pricing to ensure cost effective options for client events & Assist with the preparation of decision documents, presentations, & analysis to meeting organizers and IT management
Qualifications we seek in you

Minimum qualifications
  • BS/BA degree in computer science or a related field
  • Outstanding IT background with experience in technology and methodology
  • Mild/limited domestic travel for events
Preferred qualifications
  • Proven understanding of infrastructure - Communications room, Premise Cabling, Connectivity, LAN/WAN/WLAN. vendor management and selection preparation
  • Demonstrates both Good analytical and big picture capabilities in problem solving approaches
  • Superior interpersonal and communication skills
  • Self motivate, ability to work independently and to take initiative
  • Good ability to multi-task and keep multiple projects moving with minimal direction
  • Good mentoring of others even beyond current position/role
  • Professional, impartial and independent attitude with a high degree of integrity
  • Focus on excellent customer service and needs of users onsite
  • Displays tact, patience and the ability to handle stressful situations
  • Attention to detail, well organized, and able to set priorities
  • Reliable and cooperative team player; displays consideration and respect for others
  • Able to anticipate, identify, and tackle critical problems
  • Shift: 12pm - 9 pm
