We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Lead Consultant Specialist. In this role, you will:

  • Infrastructure systems engineer role; developing, releasing and supporting automation across Linux and Windows server environments, services and APIs.
  • Design and deliver infrastructure as code automation and streamline tasks. Build orchestration automation capabilities to support the execution of operational activities.
  • Work across one or more application development environments on the Linux / Windows platform with restful web APIs and Mulesoft / JAVA/Spring boot
  • Advise senior stakeholders on strategy and benefits re infrastructure as code
  • Provide third line technical support to the production issues.
  • Design and deliver Proof of concepts.
  • Writing documentation and standard operating procedure when required.

Requirements
To be successful in this role, you should meet the following requirements: Relevant Experience: 15 to 18 years Technical Skills:
  • Must have 12 + years’ experience of DevOps tools, orchestration and configuration management on Ansible / Jenkins / Puppet.
  • Puppet and Ansible developer skills. (RUBY, YAML)
  • Must have 12+ years’ experience of Web API to build RESTful APIs and scripting in Python, Perl and/or Shell or powershell for data management tasks.
  • Must have Mulesoft/Kong , Postman experience. Development of APIs in Mule /Kong / JAVA/Springboot and integrate with Ansible / Puppet.
  • Proficiency in Windows/ Linux ((i.e. RHEL) server admin skills, 10 years’ experience.
  • Should possess industry standard certifications for Linux /Windows domain. Also understanding of Windows server’s admin skills.
  • Strong infrastructure background with experience with x86 hardware, virtualization platforms (VMware, Citrix, Hyper-V) and Clustering (Veritas Volume manager and Veritas Cluster Server)
  • Knowledge of API best practices related to resource organization, use of sub-resources, error handling, and authentication.
  • Knowledge of storage infrastructure with experience of configuring filesystems on NAS storage and EMC SAN solutions, both standalone and clustered, including replication.
  • Automation and application/product integration.
  • Familiarity with toolsets for building and documenting APIs such as Swagger, OpenAPI, etc
  • Experience of source code management (GitHub / Bit Bucket) would be an advantage. Also experience of JIRA/Confluence.
  • Knowledge of Databases such as Oracle, Sybase or DB2 would be an advantage.
  • Familiarity with IT Infrastructure delivery and related process would be an advantage.
  • Any Open Source project participation or any GitHub or blog publication would be an advantage.
Other Soft Skills:
  • Excellent written and spoken communication skills.
  • Working across various cultures and geographies.
  • Should be willing to work in shifts / on call in case required.
  • Able to work independently, under least supervision.
