Job Description

The Lead Business Development Manager will be an integral part of Sattva's Non-Profit Sales team with a strong focus on growing business in India and Globally, targeting high growth non-profit sectors and organizing city level eventsThe role will be responsible for:

  • Developing the overall non-profit business for Sattva Consulting
  • Develop measurable strategic and operational plans based on the overall business development strategy to track sales performance and present realistic revenue forecasts
  • Achieving growth and meeting sales targets by onboarding new customers and thinking innovatively on building a strong sales pipeline
  • Build strong lasting relationships with customers as a trusted partner and work closely with delivery team to meet the needs of the customer
  • Identify growing organizations and market shifts while being fully aware of new products and competition status in the region.
  • Represent Sattva at key forums, conferences, events to build our network and generate potential leads
  • Plan and organize city level events to expand Non-profit reach and demonstrate the potential of business
  • Work with the leadership to expand on strategic sales plan
  • Work with cross functional teams including marketing, delivery teams to lead proposals/ pitches for new opportunities
  • Strengthen our market intelligence by tracking and sharing insights

  • Number of new leads generated and new customers onboarded

  • Engaging strategically with high growth Non-profits and Global impact players

  • A minimum of 8-10 years of experience in consultative sales and B2B sales
  • An entrepreneurial person - with high energy and outcome orientation - from any B2B sector - being able to build customer relationships.
  • Familiarity with the Social Impact consulting space will be an advantage, but is not a necessity.
  • Ability to approach sales in a consultative way and creating mutual value to stakeholders involved
  • Strong interest to work in the social impact sector, to build the bridge between business and society
  • Highly adaptable to dynamic market situations.
  • Excellent written, oral communication and presentation skills
  • Willingness to travel
  • Self-driven and motivated, can take ownership and independently execute on projects.
Desired competencies
  • An entrepreneurial mindset.
  • A strong bias towards execution.
  • Knowledge of the development landscape in India and around the world, including an in-depth understanding of the roles of various stakeholders (government, academia, international institutions, foundations, non-profit and corporate organizations) will be an advantage.
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and Power-Point) and social networking applications
  • Highly effective interpersonal skills, the ability to forge sustainable client relationships.
