Lead Business Analyst TALK ABOUT THE SET OR BUSINESS AREA We lead AstraZeneca\xe2\x80\x99s MDM (Master Data Management) enterprise initiative, focussing on enterprise master data standards, data governance, data integrity and driving FAIR agenda of organisation with master data. We focus on identifying the master data entities of the enterprise, managing the roll out of MDM solution for the identified entities and helping business realize the value of high-quality master data. Centralized, trusted, and high-quality master data is key for accelerating our business processes as we empower the enterprise functions with digital capabilities, to innovate at speed and make effective data driven decisions. We are working to establish a strong MDM capability, built on the latest healthcare domain standards, to collaborate effectively with our business partners internal and external to AstraZeneca. Explain what the role involves What you\xe2\x80\x99ll do As an MDM Business Analyst, you will drive the requirements gathering, planning and release activities of MDM product, realizing the enterprise vision and roadmap of MDM product owner.

• You will collaborate with our MDM product owner, business customers, solution architects, tech leads, data stewards, source and consumer applications, IT Quality manager and Business Quality Manager, to deliver clear product features (functional, technical and non-functional requirements), to ensure successful delivery of user friendly MDM solution.
• You will work with MDM Product Advisory Council for translating MDM demands into requirements, and work with business & IT and project management partners, to prioritise the work across and within program increments.
• You will organise the features of the product into initiatives, epics and stories, to provide clarity on the product backlog and work with Product Owner to prioritise and align this with the product roadmap.
• You will be driving the ways of working of the MDM Agile team and will be a key partner driving agile ceremonies including scrum.
• You will be driving the pre-planning and planning activites for MDM Agile program increments, to deliver the product features, in line with the product roadmap.

Highlight the skills and capabilities needed Essential for the role

• Significant professional experience, working as a business analyst.
• Ability to liase and drive requirement discussions with business and IT team members, including, product owners, project managers, function heads, technical leads, solution architects, information architects, data stewards, IT Quality manager and Business Quality manager.
• In-depth analytical skills and ability to work in highly collaborative environment.
• Experience in communicating with collaborators, providing functional leadership and guidance to MDM project teams, and monitoring and reporting on progress and outcomes to leadership.
• Significant experience in JIRA and ability to write stories which provides utmost clarity on the feature. requirements, acceptance criteria and dependencies.
• Proficient in English both verbal and written.
• Good written documentation skills.

Desirable for the role

• Experience of working in a regulated environment (GxP or similar).
• Experience of delivering solutions within IT projects delivered through Agile and Waterfall methodologies.
• Experience in MDM functional knowledge.
• Experience in MDM Architecture and Data Modelling principles.
• Working in ITIL (Information Technology Infrastructure Library) or similar landscapes.
• Exposure to fundamentals of API (Application Programming Interface).
• Exposure to DevOps process knowledge, concepts ranging from deployment automation, code review automation, code repository process automation and code coverage & unit testing automation.
• Working knowledge of the pharma industry is a plus.
