About our team: OTC Derivatives Valuations is a centralised global team within the Middle Office Division of BNY Mellon. The team is responsible for pricing of Over-The-Counter derivatives and supports the following products: The Net Asset Value production process for mutual and hedge fund accounting The valuation of pension funds for global companies based in Europe and the US The collateral management Regulatory reporting and risk analysis for the bank and our clients The group consists of 90+ people in permanent roles in New York, London, Poland, Dublin, India and Singapore. Your Role This Lead Analyst supports the Derivative Valuations group by playing a pivotal role in the well-functioning of the team responsibilities include but are not limited to the following: Ownership of the work completed by the team Be the primary point of contact for audit, client, compliance, management, and trustee issues. You will raise all relevant issues promptly to senior management. Work with your colleagues in other locations to ensure best practise items are rolled out globally. Work with the technology team to ensure all database developments are prioritised and successfully launched in the live environment. Direct and regularly spot check the daily processing of OTC assets, manual price input and price exception validation review for a variety of Derivative clients. Ensure this process is robust and efficient. Risk mitigation is a key responsibility, the Lead Analyst is expected to review processes against current market best practise and implement any improvement necessary. Evidence of regular reviews taking place is necessary. Monitor daily processes ensuring staff complete as per agreed guidelines and procedures. Ensure outstanding issues are followed up on a regular basis and kept to a minimum. Maintain accurate MIS details ensuring statistics are updated daily confirming volumes, timeliness and accuracy details. Provide training on the theoretical/technical nature of all OTC securities to staff members. The Lead Analyst is responsible for the integrity of the security master data on the OTC database, review and sign-off the master records completed by the analysts and supervisors. Attend meetings with internal and external stakeholders to discuss open issues and service levels where minutes are kept outlining decisions and action points. Support the take on of new business into the team for existing client serviced and new business. Expected to play a critical role in shaping and defining operational model Qualifications: Degree / Advanced degree in quantitative analysis (preferred Finance, Mathematics, Business, Economics, Engineering / Data Analytics) 5+ years\' experience preferred. Experience in quantitative finance and technology preferred but not essential. Strong focus on accuracy and attention to detail Excellent teamwork, interpersonal, oral and written communication skills. Dependability, flexibility and the ability to lead by example. Prior supervisory/managerial level experience in the OTC pricing space is desirable.
