Overview
The role is responsible for the execution of tasks and projects of key global processes as assigned by the functional Team Lead. The key global processes include but are not limited to the Project Costing and Fixed Asset Maintenance Processes, Quarterly Project Review (QPR), Work-In-Process (WIP) Account Reconciliation, System Integration Reconciliation, Capitalization, User Acceptance testing, Global Client training and Major Expenditures Process (MEP). Additionally, the Analyst is also required to find out solutions to resolve the breaks identified through WIP recon process by reaching out to AP, GPSS and FA team.
The Analyst must possess technical knowledge of the Major Expenditures systems to accomplish tasks and projects as assigned by the functional Team Lead including the ability to complete client maintenance requests, answer client inquiries, support analytical reviews, system testing, system enhancements, and remediation initiatives. Also, provide additional support in addressing the issues in BAU for the team.
As assigned by the functional team lead, the Analyst is responsible for the preparation of reconciliations in accordance with the corporate reconciliation policy and the Blackline reconciliation system. S/he is also responsible for reconciliation of interfaces between managed systems. The Analyst will support and execute remediation plans as outlined by the team leader for reconciling items.
The Analyst is responsible to identify and report risks, patterns or re-occurring issues to the team leader, support and technical teams towards resolution.
S/he may provide analytical support to activities such as audits, the fulfillment of ad hoc requests, and special projects as assigned.
Participate and lead in Automation, Standardization, Simplification, Streamlining & Process Improvement.
The role will interact directly with onshore and offshore teams. This will involve the coordination and management of expectations and will require the ability to communicate task priorities whilst understanding the potential implication on others. Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or business or the equivalent combination of education and experience.
2-3 years of project accounting experience preferred
Strong written and oral communications skills
Self-starter - Should drive change on their own with minimal direction needed
Analytical - Ability to easily dive into very arcane details on allocations and bring it up to the appropriate level of audience they are communicating with
Excellent interpersonal and relationship management skills
