Job Title: Carbon Removal Vertical Lead Job Overview: Passionate and self-start individual who wants to make a difference by contributing in the area of sustainability. We are a tech driven, climate startup and are looking for LCA/EPD consultant to join our team. As an LCA and EPD Consultant, you will play a vital role in helping organizations assess and communicate the environmental impacts of their products and processes through Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) and
Environmental Product Declaration (EPD) methodologies. Your expertise will contribute to sustainability efforts, guiding companies towards more eco-friendly practices and aiding informed decision-making Key Responsibilities 1. LCA Conduct and Analysis:

  • Conduct comprehensive Life Cycle Assessments to evaluate the environmental impacts of products, processes, or systems throughout their entire life cycle.
  • Gather data on raw materials, production processes, transportation, usage, and end-of- life scenarios to assess resource consumption, emissions, and potential environmental hazards.
  • Utilize LCA software tools and databases to model and analyze environmental impacts, including carbon footprint, water usage, energy consumption, and other relevant metrics.
2. EPD Development:
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop Environmental Product Declarations in accordance with relevant industry standards (e.g., ISO 14025, EN 15804).
  • Compile and organize LCA data into EPD formats, creating transparent and credible documentation of product environmental performance.
  • Ensure EPDs accurately reflect the environmental impacts of products and provide useful information to stakeholders, including customers, regulatory bodies, and investors.
3. Data Collection and Validation:
  • Identify reliable sources of data for LCA, ensuring accuracy and relevancy of inputs.
  • Validate data through quality checks, sensitivity analyses, and uncertainty assessments to enhance the credibility of assessment outcomes.
4. Stakeholder Engagement:
  • Communicate LCA and EPD findings to diverse stakeholders, including clients, management, regulatory agencies, and the public.
  • Assist clients in understanding the significance of assessment results and provide recommendations for improving environmental performance.
5. Continuous Improvement:
  • Stay updated on industry trends, advancements in LCA methodologies, and emerging sustainability standards.
  • Provide insights and recommendations to clients for optimizing products and processes to reduce their environmental impacts.
6. Project Management: PUBLIC
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring timely delivery of accurate LCA assessments and EPDs.
  • Collaborate with clients and internal teams to define project scopes, objectives, and deliverables.
Requirements, Competencies and Certifications
  • Proven experience in conducting LCAs and developing EPDs for various products or processes.
  • Proficiency in LCA software tools and data sources.
  • Ability to quickly understand complex requests and transform them into trade opportunities.
  • Strong interest in sustainability and environmental market mechanisms.
  • Instinct for business.
  • Motivated and able to work with limited supervision.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Attention to detail and ability to meet strict deadlines.
  • Ability to look for growth opportunities for the company.
  • Exceptional organizational skills with ability to multitask.

Good to have:
  • Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s or Master\xe2\x80\x99s degree within energy/environmental studies
  • Commercial experience preferred.
