Job Summary:

The Laundry Supervisor oversees the daily operations of the laundry department. They ensure that all linens, uniforms, guest laundry, and other fabrics are cleaned, pressed, and delivered efficiently and to the highest standards of cleanliness and hygiene. The role involves supervising laundry staff, maintaining equipment, and coordinating with other departments to meet service requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

Supervise and coordinate the daily operations of the laundry department. Ensure proper handling, washing, drying, folding, and pressing of all hotel linens, uniforms, and guest clothing. Schedule laundry staff and assign tasks to ensure smooth workflow and timely delivery. Maintain inventory levels of laundry supplies (detergents, softeners, etc.) and request replenishment as needed. Inspect laundered items to ensure quality and cleanliness standards are met. Train, motivate, and evaluate laundry staff to ensure high performance and compliance with hotel standards. Maintain and troubleshoot laundry equipment, coordinating repairs and preventive maintenance with engineering or external vendors. Collaborate with housekeeping and other departments to meet linen requirements and special requests. Monitor energy and water usage to support sustainability initiatives. Maintain records of linen usage, damaged items, laundry productivity, and staff attendance.
