5 ? 7 yrs for Engineer.
10 ? 12 years for Lead Engineer

Required Exposure:
- Extensive exposure to interpreting CAN logs and drawing inferences.
- At least 3 years of embedded SW development using embedded C.
- Interaction with supplier to explain requirements and define expectations.
- Co-design of key interfaces with supplier so as to ease change requests and scope creep.
- Adept at usage of MS ? Excel with VBA scripts.
Preferred add-ons:
- Use of tools: CANOE/ Signalyzer/ Busmaster.
- Scripting in CAPL/ Busmaster to handle CAN logs.
- PMP Certification would be advantage.
The selected candidate shall participate in the effort to standardize the operating procedure with external suppliers of embedded software for automotive products. The role includes soliciting requirements from various stakeholders, collaborating with system engineer in generation of software requirement documents and diagnostic specification, and driving the work-flow with the selected supplier. During project execution, the selected candidate shall enforce design discipline on part of the supplier through periodic assessments and suggest improvements if and as applicable. The selected candidate shall also institutionalize supplier evaluation, and hold the selected supplier accountable for all deliverables as per mutually agreed project plan. Further, the selected candidate shall actively engage with test and verification team to guide the development of automated test sequences to validate deliverables from the supplier.
