Overview Main Purpose The Knowledge Management (KM) Capability Lead (CL), located in Hyderabad (HBS), is responsible for implementing and improving the R&D\'s KM ecosystem. The CL oversees the KM team in Hyderabad to ensure exceptional service in support of R&D globally. This role will coordinate with in-market teams, serving as the primary touchpoint for R&D leadership to provide collaborate on knowledge-based initiatives, and continuously identify opportunities to drive efficiency and enhance knowledge identification, transfer of knowledge, knowledge sharing practices, and knowledge retention programs. Responsibilities Summary of Accountabilities: Functional Responsibilities R&D Knowledge Management Delivery Strategy Work closely with Function Leaders to understand business needs, assess knowledge gaps, and create an appropriate Knowledge Management strategy that focuses on process and alignment to R&D strategic goals. Lead KM team on an end-to-end Knowledge Management program that influences KM system design, maintenance, document management and business critical knowledge retention. Develop Knowledge Management frameworks, streamline knowledge base by identifying key knowledge resources, implement appropriate KM solutions through a combination of Knowledge portals for effective capture, organizing, retrieval & use of knowledge resources. Coordinate Change Management programs by providing relevant coaching, training, and support to champion a Knowledge Management culture. KPI creation, monitoring, improvement / keeping track of engagement, project outcomes and other metrics. Track and follow content update cycles and coordinate with SMEs to ensure most relevant content is available in repositories. Ensure all requests are processed, documented, and delivered within defined SLAs. Monitor Knowledge Management resource count and resource utilization across HBS to meet the pipeline of requirements from R&D sectors and functions across all geographical locations. Identify and report on areas of significant business impact and improvement opportunities to in-market R&D leads. Act as liaison between competency leads in HBS and in-market leads to bridge the gap between data, business knowledge, and insights generation. Support simplification, standardization, and digitization efforts Partner with Business Partners to develop and finetune internal processes (e.g., work-flow mapping, pain-points, and bottlenecks management) People Responsibilities Develop team capabilities, continuous motivation, and increased engagement levels Build and manage a strong team of KM Analysts, enhance their KM competency to be able to deliver appropriate KM solutions in line with the industry best practices, understanding areas of KM automation, implementing self-service portals thereby enhancing the KM user experience. Support communications, idea sharing, and learning for KM Team. Serve as the employee leader for R&D KM (e.g., set hub professional development goals and performance criteria) Define and monitor performance goals for evaluation of direct subordinates. Provide timely feedback on team members\' performance and provide subject matter or market-specific expertise when necessary. Build meaningful developmental / career paths for subordinates. Report on best-practices and gold standard work within and across teams and hubs to build consistent levels of excellence across HBS. Enhance internal knowledge and team efficiency through productivity optimization and digitization projects. Address any gaps in team competencies (e.g., training and development) together with forming developmental plans for existing workforce and potential external talent search Qualifications Leadership Skills: - Collaboration / Stakeholder Engagement: Working across boundaries and creating trusting relationships, demonstrating active listening skills - Clarity: Simplifying complexity, communicating in a clear and concise manner - Change Management: Supporting and managing change by adapting approaches and mobilizing others Professional Skills: - Communication: Clearly, completely, and concisely shares ideas and adapts style / content as appropriate for the audience, actively listens demonstrates ability to produce presentations, written reports, and analysis delivers formal and informal presentations with impact in both oral and written format - Negotiation / Influence: Build trusting partnerships and communicate with impact Digital Skills: - KM or authoring tools (e.g. ServiceNow, Epiplex) - Microsoft tools such as PowerPoint, Excel, Sharepoint, etc. Experiences: - Master\'s degree required (Business Management, Library Services, Economics, Engineering or relevant preferred) - 10 - 12 years of relevant work driving and leading KM programs & teams, preferably in a global business service set up. - Excellent understanding of KM tools /systems, SharePoint, and content management tools. - Service Now experience either as a user or as a person that has implemented as a KM tool - CPG, FMCG, Scientific, Engineering, Chemical, Pharmaceutical, Life Sciences or adjacent industry experience - Fluent in English - Experience working with stakeholders in North America, Europe, LATAM APAC, or AMESA markets - Comprehension and ability to execute relevant digital technologies impacting business operations - Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite - Exceptional organizational skills, with attention to detail and accuracy, a working knowledge of cataloging and distributing knowledge - Ability to manage time effectively across priorities and projects requiring a high degree of organizational and communication skills to ensure requests are delivered in a timely manner - Strong leadership and motivational skills with a track record of identifying and championing new processes for improving fact-based decision making - Collaborative skills and strong interest in working with others Actively creates and participates in opportunities to co-create solutions across markets will be willing and able to embrace Responsive Ways of Working Prior experience of working in a global shared services environment and KM space Proven supervisory and workstream management skills working with parallel teams or functional leads in different time zones and locations Experience building a high performing and highly engaged team to stand up a new GBS R&D capability Proven track record of identifying and championing new initiatives to standardize work and drive process optimization through a solution-oriented approach Working in a scientific, technical, or engineering KM environment
