Energy, Siemens Limited India is seeking a responsible, professional, and self-motivated individual to fill this position for an Knowledge Based Engineering Specialist (NX) working with our Gas Turbine Engineering organization, Gurgaon, India.

Primary responsibility involves building and maintaining Knowledge based Engineering type custom tools in our NX-CAD environment to drive standardization, automation and digitalization in our product design and development process.

• Follow Agile method in building user friendly custom tools on basis of NXOpen for our Design Engineers working on cutting edge technology and world class products; Tools may range from small plugins to larger applications including knowledge based engineering methods to enhance quality, productivity and leverage digitalization opportunities;
• Engage with global Engineering Standards team and design community to gather and define the requirements of new tools/custom features and create respective tool development specifications
• Apply software development lifecycle process for the architecture/concept, design, implementation, testing and validation for building new applications
• Where applicable, integrate tools with our PLM data management in Teamcenter
• Contribute to user documentation and training;
• Incorporate user feedback and lessons learned to continuous improvement of our tools

• Engineering / Science undergraduate degree with good exposure to NX for CAD
• Minimum 5+ years as a professional software development experience
• Solid understanding & experience of latest custom feature capability in NXOpen
• Software configuration management using GiT
• Testing methods and technique to ensure defect free tools
• Exposure to Turbomachinery design and development is a plus
• Software: NX-CAD for 3D models and design
• Programming Language: C# / Python / C++ in conjunction with NXOpen; clean coding skills with proper handling of NX in-built features
• S/w config management: GiT (or other tools)
• PLM Methods and software, ideally Teamcenter knowledge
• Critical thinking is a must
• Good verbal and written communications skills in English, including good presentation skills
• Independent contributor who takes initiative
• Focused on the purpose and committed to delivering minimum viable product in a timely fashion
• Ability to prioritize tasks and follow the Agile methodology
