Job Title: Kitchen Supervisor

Job location: Trivandrum

Education: Diploma in Hotel Management / Food Technologist

Experience: Min 5-8 yrs exp as Kitchen Supervisor with fluency in Hindi.

Timing 12hrs including rest hours.

Responsibilities

KOT handling, Purchase, Staff uniform, and regular pest control Managing the kitchen porters Make sure the kitchen is a safe and hygienic place to work Organizing the inventory, storage, and distribution of foodstuffs and supplies Helping to plan menus, apportion ingredients, and use food surpluses
Salary: Rs. 25000 (depends on experience and qualification) + food and accommodation with statutory benefits.

Key Responsibilities

Staff Management

: Hire, train, and schedule kitchen staff; monitor performance and address issues.

Food Quality & Presentation

: Ensure food meets company standards for taste, presentation, and portion control.

Inventory & Supplies

: Manage inventory, track food supplies, and order new ingredients and equipment as needed.

Hygiene & Safety

: Enforce strict food safety, sanitation, and cleanliness standards to comply with health codes and regulations.

Workflow & Efficiency

: Organize and optimize kitchen workflow, preparation schedules, and cooking processes.

Menu Assistance

: Assist with menu planning, development, and testing, considering food costs and special dietary needs.

Equipment Maintenance

: Ensure all kitchen equipment is in good working order and properly maintained.
Essential Skills

Leadership & Management

: Ability to supervise, motivate, and develop a kitchen team.

Culinary Expertise

: Knowledge of cooking techniques, food safety, and quality control.

Organizational Skills

: Excellent ability to manage multiple tasks, organize workflow, and maintain a tidy kitchen.

Communication

: Effective communication with kitchen staff and front-of-house personnel.

Problem-Solving

: Ability to quickly identify and resolve issues that arise in a busy kitchen environment.
