Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

1. Food Preparation

Assist the Chef in cutting, chopping, peeling, marinating, and mixing ingredients. Prepare basic food items, sauces, and accompaniments as per instructions. Ensure ingredients are ready for cooking and stored properly.

2. Cooking Assistance

Support in cooking and plating dishes under the supervision of the Chef. Monitor cooking times, temperatures, and food quality. Assist during meal service for timely delivery of dishes.

3. Kitchen Maintenance & Cleaning

Keep work areas, kitchen equipment, and utensils clean and sanitized. Ensure proper waste disposal and follow hygiene protocols. Wash dishes, cookware, and maintain cleanliness in storage areas.

4. Inventory & Stock Management

Help in receiving, checking, and storing food supplies. Inform the Chef of low stock or damaged ingredients. Follow FIFO (First In, First Out) method for food rotation.

5. Food Safety & Hygiene

Follow food safety standards and kitchen hygiene practices. Wear proper uniform, gloves, and protective gear while handling food. Report any maintenance or safety issues to the Chef immediately.

6. Team Support

Cooperate with the Chef and other team members to ensure smooth operations. Maintain a positive attitude and willingness to learn. Assist in special events or large meal preparations as required.

Skills & Qualifications:

Basic cooking and food preparation knowledge. Understanding of kitchen safety and hygiene standards. Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team. Good communication and time-management skills. Physically fit to handle kitchen duties.

Preferred Qualifications:

Certificate or Diploma in Culinary Arts or Hotel Management (preferred). 1-2 years of experience as a Kitchen Helper / Assistant Cook / Commis. Familiarity with multiple cuisines is an advantage.

Pay: ₹23,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
