Key Account Manager (sales) Trichy

Job Description


1. Key Account Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with key accounts, by understanding their needs, addressing concerns, and providing exceptional customer service.

2. Develop and implement effective sales strategies to achieve revenue and growth targets within the assigned territory

3. Identify opportunities for upselling and cross-selling our products and services to existing key accounts.

4. Address any billing-related inquiries or issues promptly.

5. Relationship Building: Proactively engage with key stakeholders at BHEL and other key accounts.

6. Market Intelligence: Stay updated on industry trends, market dynamics, and competitive landscape within the Trichy and Chennai territory.

7. Operations Coordination: Work closely with the operations team at Noida and Sahibabad to ensure seamless service delivery to key accounts.

8. Sales Reporting: Prepare and present regular sales reports, including account performance, sales forecasts, and pipeline updates. Provide insights and recommendations to drive continuous improvement in sales

strategies and processes.

Requirements

1. Education: Bachelors degree in any discipline - Sales, Marketing is preferrable. A masters degree or MBA is a plus.

2. Experience: Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in sales, preferably in the industrial sector. Experience in key account management and handling large clients is highly desirable.

3. Territory Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of the Trichy and Chennai territory, including the industrial landscape, key industries, and major customers. Existing relationships with key accounts, especially BHEL, is a strong advantage.

4. Sales Skills: Proven track record in achieving sales targets, building and managing key accounts, and driving business growth. Strong negotiation, communication, and presentation skills are essential.

5. Customer Focus: Demonstrated ability to understand customer needs, build rapport, and deliver exceptional customer service. A customer-centric approach with a focus on long-term relationship building is crucial.

6. Team Collaboration: Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including operations, finance, and marketing. Strong interpersonal skills and an ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment are required.

7. Analytical Abilities: Proficient in analysing sales data, market trends, and customer insights to drive informed decision-making. Proficiency in MS Office suite, particularly Excel and PowerPoint, is necessary.

8. CRM Software Knowledge: Proficiency in using Customer Relationship Management (CRM) software to manage and track customer interactions, sales activities, and account information. Experience with popular CRM platforms, such as Salesforce, HubSpot, or Zoho CRM, is highly preferred.
