We are looking for a passionate and skilled
Junior Sous Chef - Indian Cuisine
to join our kitchen team. You will support the Sous Chef and Head Chef in preparing authentic and high-quality Indian dishes, supervising kitchen operations, and maintaining high standards of food safety and hygiene. This role is ideal for someone with a strong foundation in Indian culinary techniques and a desire to grow into a leadership position.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist the Sous Chef in overseeing day-to-day kitchen operations with a focus on Indian cuisine.
Supervise and support kitchen staff during food preparation and cooking processes.
Prepare a wide variety of Indian dishes including North Indian, South Indian, and regional specialties.
Ensure consistent quality, taste, and presentation across all dishes.
Monitor food stock and assist with inventory management and stock rotation.
Maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards as per FSSAI and other food safety regulations.
Assist in the development and testing of new Indian menu items.
Ensure efficient kitchen workflow during peak service hours.
Train and mentor junior kitchen staff in Indian cooking methods and best practices.
Step in for the Sous Chef when required.
Requirements:
Minimum 3 years of experience in a professional kitchen, specializing in Indian cuisine.
Strong knowledge of traditional Indian spices, ingredients, and cooking techniques (tandoor, curries, biryanis, etc.).
Culinary diploma/certification or equivalent practical experience.
Familiarity with food safety and hygiene standards (FSSAI knowledge preferred).
Ability to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
Strong leadership, communication, and team management skills.
Willingness to work flexible shifts, including weekends and holidays.
Creativity and passion for Indian food.

Pay: ₹35,000.00 - ₹38,000.00 per month
