Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

Attend to patients in outpatient, inpatient, and emergency departments as per hospital protocols. Assist consultants during ophthalmic examinations, minor procedures, and surgeries when required. Monitor patients' pre- and post-operative conditions and provide appropriate care under supervision. Document patient history, examination findings, treatment, and follow-up details accurately in medical records. Respond to medical emergencies promptly and coordinate with the concerned specialist for advanced management. Ensure timely completion of all medical documentation and discharge summaries. Support infection control and quality assurance initiatives within the hospital. Coordinate with nursing and paramedical staff to ensure smooth patient flow and service delivery. Participate in clinical meetings, training sessions, and CME programs organized by the hospital.

Qualifications & Experience:

Essential:

MBBS from a recognized university with valid registration (MCI/NMC or State Medical Council).

Desirable:

MS/MD (Ophthalmology) or D.O. (Diploma in Ophthalmology) preferred

Experience:

0-3 years of experience in a hospital or clinical setup (fresh graduates may apply).

Additional Skills:

Strong clinical judgment and patient care skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities. Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team. Willingness to work in shifts, weekends, and on-call duties as required.
