POSITION SUMMARY:
BOT VFX, a post-production services company in the entertainment industry with global clients, is looking for an entry-level position \xe2\x80\x9cJr System Administrator\xe2\x80\x9d on a permanent role basis. This role involves working with our creative team to provide the best technical support to bring their artistry to life. This role reports to the Desktop Support Lead.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITY

• Assist in the maintenance of a mixed-platform environment (Windows/Linux) to ensure operational efficiency and reliability.
• Respond to and resolve help desk requests from VFX artists and other staff promptly.
• Assist in managing user accounts and permissions, ensuring compliance with company policies and industry best practices.
• Document system configurations, updates, and changes in our knowledge base.
• Provide support for software applications used in the production of VFX such as Maya, Nuke, Houdini, and others.
• Coordinate with external vendors for procurement and management of IT assets.
• Support remote employees and facilitate secure and efficient remote access to the company\'s network.

• Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field, or equivalent experience.
• 1-2 years of experience in system administration, IT support, or a similar role.
• Experience with Windows and Linux systems in a networked environment.
• Basic knowledge of server hardware and network infrastructure.
• Familiarity with backup systems, data storage solutions, and disaster recovery methods.
• Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a deadline-driven environment.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Good interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users.
