The Junior HR Executive supports the Human Resources department in daily operations. This role is designed for individuals looking to build a career in HR by gaining hands-on experience in recruitment, employee relations, and administrative tasks. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, a strong communicator, and eager to learn the fundamentals of HR management and labor laws.
Key Responsibilities
Recruitment and Onboarding:
Assist in the end-to-end recruitment process, including posting job openings on various platforms, screening resumes, and coordinating interviews.
Prepare new hire documentation and facilitate onboarding/orientation sessions for new employees.
HR Administration and Record Keeping:
Maintain and update accurate employee records and HR databases (HRIS), ensuring confidentiality and compliance.
Assist with administrative tasks such as preparing employment contracts, offer letters, and exit documents.
Employee Support and Relations:
Serve as the first point of contact for day-to-day employee queries regarding HR policies, benefits, and procedures.
Support in organizing employee engagement activities, events, and initiatives to foster a positive workplace culture.
Payroll and Benefits Support:
Provide support to the payroll team by compiling data on attendance, leaves, and other variable pay inputs.
Assist in the administration of benefits programs, such as health insurance and leave tracking.
Compliance and Development:
Ensure adherence to company policies and assist in ensuring the company remains compliant with local labor laws and regulations.
Support the coordination of training and development programs and maintain records of employee training activities.
Qualifications and Skills
Education:
A bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field is typically required.
Experience:
Minimum of 6 months of experience in an HR role, internship, or recruitment-focused position.
Skills:
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Strong organizational and time management abilities, with attention to detail.
Proficiency in HR software (HRMS, ATS) and Microsoft Office Suite.
Problem-solving skills and the ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
