Purpose of the Role Is responsible for the execution of Field Crops R&D Millet station trials, nurseries and breeding blocks @ R&D Farm, Hyderabad P osition: Jr. Breeder/ Senior Research Associate - Millet Location: Kallakal - R&D , Hyderabad. Reporting : Sr. breeder - Millet Qualifications: MSc Agri/Ph.D. - Plant Breeding and Genetics Experience : 4 to 6 years in R&D Breeding We are seeking a highly motivated individual to join the in Millet Breeding team in the R&D department of organization as a Sr. Research Associate. Working as part of a breeding team, he will be responsible to conduct different types of R&D field experiments related to Breeding Execute the planned experiments timely in assigned filed as per plans given by breeder Conduct the nurseries and breeding plots throughout the year (Summer, Kharif and Rabi) Conduct the given experiments with applicable agronomical practices to get best expression of crop Maintain high quality station trials, nurseries and crossing blocks and data collection as per the SoP Operation of data loggers to record data, checking errors and timely upload of data into system Knowledge of experimental designs and basic analysis skills Record data observations as per the crop wise guidelines given Execution of breeding crosses as per plans given Upkeep of seed cold store and inventory management Team player and open to cross functional interaction
