Role Description

FIC Operations Technology within the Investment Banking Division of Deutsche Bank is responsible for building and managing the Documentation & Settlement applications to support Operations Division in managing the trade lifecycle across Interest Rates, Credit, Equities (OTC Derivatives), Foreign Exchange & Money Market businesses.

As part of FIC Re-engineering program, our group is building cross-asset Documentation (DICE) and Settlement (CSE) platforms.

Your key responsibilities

• Develop, tune, execute, and manage Oracle PL/SQL stored procedures, functions, packages and database triggers
• Support the data architecture with some data integration
• Monitoring database performance and tuning SQL queries and identifying and resolving scalability issues
• Developing and amending stored procedures and PL/SQL code to implement business logic
• He/she will also provide subject matter expertise and level 3 support to ensure the smooth running of systems and quick recovery from outages/downtime
• Providing L2 and L3 support on Oracle Databses Platform used within the Bank
• Design and Creatre new solution for implementation within entire Oracle infrastructure (automatizition, scripting, tools)
• Preapre new Oracle platform version rollouts (including testing and documentation)
• Integrate standard Oracle platform within solution used in wider IT Infra environement (OS, storage, virtualization, security)
• Ensure required documentation is in-place and up to date for all data management solutions
• Collaborate with other internal or external teams on projects such as sourcing data feed, working with vendors
• You will also be responsible for performance tuning including tuning complex queries to perform on a large historical data
• Develop PL/SQL Packages, Stored Procedures, Functions, Triggers, SQL statements in Oracle 12c
• Create tables, views, indexes, triggers, types, packages and other database objects as needed
• Installation and patching of Oracle Relational Database Management System (RDBMS) for Oracle EBS on Linux
• Installation and patching of MS SQL Server Databases on Windows
• Implementing SOX controls on new and existing databases and developing and documenting formal processes and procedures
• Reviewing audit reports and defining / setting up new logging when needed
• Moving changes to the Production environments and tuning / optimizing (PL)/SQL queries
• Ensuring backup and recovery of all data, for Oracle data using RMAN
• Developing scripts for reporting, data manipulation and automation of daily tasks
• Providing support to Development and QA teams on applications/database issues

Your skills and experience

• 9-14 years experience developing PL/SQL procedures, functions, packages
• Must have experience using bulk loading methods - Oracle sqlldr, external tables
• Prior experience in performance tuning of database queries, materialized views Or similar (development environment)
• The ideal candidate will be capable of documenting small-to medium scale projects with minimal supervision, and may be involved in developing and delivering presentations
• Designs, develops, and supports solutions utilizing Oracle relational database management system
• Experience creating logical entities and defining their attributes defining the relationships between the various data objects
• Excellent knowledge of Oracle Exadata is a must
