We are seeking an experienced and skilled SDET (Software Development Engineer in Test) to join our dynamic engineering team. This role requires a unique blend of software development and testing expertise to design, implement, and maintain robust automation frameworks while ensuring high-quality software delivery through continuous testing practices.
Key Responsibilities
Test Automation & Framework Development
Design, develop, and maintain scalable automation frameworks for web, API, and mobile applications using industry best practices
Create and implement comprehensive API automation solutions using REST Assured and other relevant tools
Build reusable test components following design patterns such as Page Object Model, Factory, and Singleton patterns
Develop CI/CD pipeline integrations using Jenkins, GitHub Actions, and other automation tools to enable continuous testing
Daily Testing Activities
Create new automation scripts for newly developed features and functionalities
Maintain existing automation codebase including debugging, enhancing, and optimizing test scripts
Perform bug verification and regression testing to ensure software quality
Maintain test cases in TestRail including test case creation, execution tracking, and result documentation
Execute automated test suites and analyze test results to identify defects and performance issues
Collaboration & Quality Assurance
Partner with development teams to implement shift-left testing practices and improve overall code quality
Participate in code reviews, architecture discussions, and sprint planning meetings
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand requirements and create comprehensive test strategies
Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior team members
Required Skills & Qualifications
Must-Have Technical Skills
Java - Strong proficiency in Java programming with object-oriented programming concepts
Basic Data Structures & Algorithms (DSA) - Understanding of fundamental algorithms and data structures for efficient test automation
REST Assured - Hands-on experience in API automation testing using REST Assured framework
API Automation - Expertise in automated testing of RESTful web services, including request/response validation
Automation Framework Design - Experience designing and implementing scalable test automation frameworks using design patterns
CI/CD Pipeline Integration - Proficiency with Jenkins and CI/CD pipeline setup for automated testing
Git Version Control - Strong knowledge of Git workflows, branching strategies, and collaborative development practices
Fast Learning Ability - Demonstrated capability to quickly adapt to new technologies, tools, and methodologies
Good-to-Have Skills
Ansible - Infrastructure automation and configuration management experience
vCenter Knowledge - VMware virtualization platform understanding
PowerShell - Windows automation scripting capabilities
Batch Files & Makefiles - System automation and build process knowledge
GitHub Actions - Advanced CI/CD pipeline automation using GitHub's native solution
Windows LDAP & Certificates - Enterprise authentication and security integration experience
Spring Framework - Basic exposure to Spring framework integration in test automation contexts
Essential Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical field
5+ years of experience in software testing and automation
Strong understanding of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and testing methodologies
Experience with Agile/Scrum development methodologies
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
Strong communication skills for cross-team collaboration

Testing Tools: REST Assured, Selenium, TestNG, JUnit
CI/CD Tools: Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Maven
Test Management: TestRail for test case management and execution tracking
Development: Java, IntelliJ IDEA, Git, Maven
Infrastructure: Ansible (preferred), vCenter (preferred)
