We are seeking a visionary leader to join our team as the Director of Data & Analytics Platform & Architecture. This role is pivotal in our journey to establish cutting-edge data capabilities and promote a self-service culture among our talented data practitioners.

As the Director of Data & Analytics Platform & Architecture, your main accountability will be to develop our platform as a product, with a focus on making it as self-service and user-friendly as possible for practitioners, including data engineers, data scientists, and others within our 30+ distributed product data squads. More specifically, you will lead the charge in shaping our data strategy and executing on five critical priorities:

1. FinOps: Develop strategies to optimize the financial management of our data platforms, ensuring cost-effectiveness and efficiency.

2. MlOps: Drive the implementation of Machine Learning Operations (MLOps) practices to streamline the deployment and management of machine learning models.

3. DataOps: Champion DataOps principles to enhance data integration, quality, governance and agility across the organization.

4. DevSecOps: Spearhead the integration of security into our DevOps processes to create a robust and secure data ecosystem.

5. Compliance: Ensure that our data platforms adhere to the highest compliance standards and data governance practices.

You will lead a diverse team of approximately 25 individuals consisting of a mix of staff and 3rd party resources. Your role will be instrumental in guiding and mentoring this team to achieve our data platform goals.

In this role, you will primarily interact with the 4 Chapter Directors, responsible for Data Engineering, Data Science, Data Visualisation and Data Governance. Additionally, you will also interact with a number of local and regional teams in particular with business super users who are the end users of our data platform, ensuring that their needs and feedback are integrated into our platform development strategy.
