Job Summary:

We are seeking a talented and passionate

Italian Chef

to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge of traditional and contemporary Italian cuisine, with the ability to prepare authentic dishes using fresh ingredients and classic techniques. You will be responsible for menu planning, food preparation, and ensuring high culinary standards that reflect the essence of Italian dining.

Key Responsibilities:

Prepare and cook authentic Italian dishes, including pasta, pizza, risotto, seafood, and meat specialties. Develop and update Italian menus and daily specials in line with seasonal availability. Ensure all dishes are prepared to the highest quality, presentation, and taste standards. Maintain cleanliness and organization in the kitchen according to food safety and hygiene standards. Monitor stock levels, manage inventory, and assist with ordering supplies. Train, supervise, and motivate junior kitchen staff. Collaborate with the management team to ensure consistency and efficiency in kitchen operations. Control food costs and minimize waste through effective portion control and stock rotation. Stay updated on Italian culinary trends and incorporate innovative ideas into the menu.

Requirements:

Proven experience as an Italian Chef or similar role in an Italian restaurant or hotel. Strong knowledge of traditional Italian recipes, ingredients, and cooking techniques. Culinary degree or professional chef training preferred. Excellent leadership, time management, and communication skills. Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure kitchen environment. Commitment to maintaining food quality and safety standards. Creativity and passion for Italian cuisine.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience working with wood-fired ovens and handmade pasta preparation. Knowledge of wine pairing and Italian regional cuisines. Fluency in Italian is an advantage.
