The IT Executive will be responsible for maintaining and supporting the organization's IT infrastructure, ensuring system uptime, data security, and providing end-user technical assistance. The role involves hands-on management of hardware, software, and networking, along with proactive IT process improvement and cross-departmental collaboration.
Key Responsibilities
A. IT Infrastructure & Support
Install, configure, and maintain desktops, laptops, printers, routers, switches, and Wi-Fi networks.
Manage LAN/WAN infrastructure and ensure uninterrupted internet connectivity.
Provide day-to-day IT support to employees for hardware and software issues.
Manage user accounts, email IDs, and access permissions.
Perform timely software updates, antivirus scans, and patch installations.
Maintain IT asset inventory with AMC/warranty tracking.
Implement and monitor firewalls, antivirus, and endpoint security.
Manage local and cloud data backups and perform restoration testing.
Coordinate with vendors for IT procurement, repairs, and system upgrades.
Monitor website hosting, SSL renewals, and server uptime.
Support remote employees with VPN setup and access configuration.
B. System & Data Security
Ensure compliance with data protection regulations (GDPR, IT Act).
Enforce IT security policies (password policies, restricted device usage, etc.).
Monitor access control and use of removable storage devices.
Maintain confidentiality and security of company data at all times.
C. Cross-Functional Support
Collaborate with and support other departments in their IT-related requirements, ensuring smooth inter-departmental operations and timely technical assistance.
Skills & Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
2-4 years of experience in IT support or system/network administration.
Strong knowledge of routers, switches, firewalls, and LAN/WAN networks.
Familiarity with Windows OS, MS Office 365, and antivirus tools.
Understanding of data backup, IT security, and software licensing.
Excellent troubleshooting and communication skills.
