Role Overview:
We are seeking an IT Reporting Automation Specialist with strong experience in building automated reporting solutions and integrating systems within the IT estate. The ideal candidate will have hands-on expertise in reporting tools such as Tableau, Power BI, Excel, and scripting/programming using Visual Basic and Python. This role focuses on streamlining reporting processes, enhancing data accuracy, and enabling actionable insights through automation and integration.
Key Responsibilities:
Reporting Automation:
Design, develop, and maintain automated reporting solutions using Tableau, Power BI, and Excel.
Create dynamic dashboards and visualizations to support IT operations and decision-making.
Scripting & Development:
Utilize Visual Basic (VBA) and Python for automating repetitive reporting tasks and data processing.
Develop scripts to extract, transform, and load (ETL) data from multiple sources.
System Integration:
Work on integration of reporting tools with IT systems (e.g., CMDB, monitoring tools, ticketing systems).
Ensure seamless data flow across platforms for accurate and timely reporting.
Data Analysis & Quality:
Validate data accuracy and consistency across reports and dashboards.
Perform trend analysis and provide actionable insights for service improvement.
Continuous Improvement:
Identify opportunities to optimize reporting processes and implement automation solutions.
Collaborate with IT teams to enhance reporting capabilities and introduce innovative solutions.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
Hands-on experience with Tableau, Power BI, and Excel (including advanced formulas and macros).
Strong programming skills in Visual Basic (VBA) and Python for automation.
Knowledge of system integration within IT environments (APIs, connectors, data pipelines).
Understanding of IT operations and reporting requirements.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
