Key Responsibilities

Networking (Core Focus)

Perform

LAN cabling, crimping (RJ45), patch panel termination, and network labeling

Design and execute

network cascading between switches

Handle

fiber optic cable termination, splicing coordination, and testing (SM/MM)

Configure and manage

managed/unmanaged switches

Create and manage

VLANs

, port assignments, and basic inter-VLAN connectivity Configure

basic access points

(SSID, security, channel, power settings) Troubleshoot network issues such as

packet loss, slow connectivity, IP conflicts

Maintain network diagrams and IP addressing documentation

Systems & End-User Support

Provide

L1/L2 desktop and laptop support

(Windows 10/11) Install and configure

OS, printers, scanners, and peripherals

Support

email, Microsoft 365, and business applications

Use remote support tools for branch or offsite troubleshooting

Server & Infrastructure Support

Assist with

Windows Server basic tasks

(AD user creation, password reset, shared folders) Monitor

network uptime, bandwidth usage, and connectivity

Coordinate with ISP, firewall vendors, and OEM support teams

Security & Compliance

Ensure

endpoint security, antivirus updates, and patch management

Implement

basic network security best practices

Ensure compliance with IT and data security policies

IT Asset & Documentation

Maintain

network inventory, IT assets, and spares

Document

network layouts, VLAN structures, and cabling details

Prepare IT MIS reports for management review

Required Skills & Competencies

Mandatory Technical Skills

Strong hands-on experience in

network crimping and structured cabling

Switch cascading and VLAN configuration

Fiber optic basics

(termination concepts, SM/MM understanding)

Basic access point configuration

Networking fundamentals:

TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP

Windows OS installation & troubleshooting

Preferred Skills

Basic firewall concepts (policies, NAT - viewing level) Windows Server basics (AD, GPO fundamentals) Network testing tools (LAN tester, OTDR - exposure) Backup and monitoring tools (basic level)

Soft Skills

Strong troubleshooting mindset Clear communication and user-handling skills Ability to work on-site, in data centers, and during network rollouts Documentation and reporting discipline

Education & Certifications

Graduate in IT, Networking, or Computer Science Preferred (not mandatory): CCNA CompTIA Network+ Microsoft Fundamentals (AZ-900 / MS-900)

Pay: ₹10,828.44 - ₹37,455.06 per month
