WHAT YOU\'LL DO

• 
  Understand the business needs through partnership with the Marketing Data Hub Product Owner and Chapter Lead to obtain deep knowledge of data requirements for stakeholders.
• Assess what stakeholders need to achieve and help guide them toward those strategic objectives.
• Work closely with the Chapter lead to design, implement, and support a data platform and provide secured access to large datasets
• Integrate data from a wide variety of sources, including on-premise databases and external data sources, with rest APIs and other replication tools.
• Participate in architecture design and implementing high-performance, scalable, and optimized data solutions.
• Monitor daily execution, diagnose and log issues, and fix critical business pipelines to ensure SLAs are met with internal stakeholders
• Bridge gap between business requirements and ETL logic by troubleshooting data discrepancies and implementing scalable solutions
• Make data model and ETL code improvements to improve pipeline efficiency and data quality
• Provide quality data solutions in a timely manner and be responsible for data governance and integrity.
• Recognize and adopt best practices in Data engineering: data integrity, test design, analysis, validation, and documentation
  

YOU\'RE GOOD AT

• 
  Designing, developing & tuning medium-high complexity data applications/pipelines on large scale data platform
• Communicating effectively with teams in a matrixed organization with varying technical backgrounds & data expertise
• Conducting basic data analysis and review of information prior to sharing with stakeholders
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to multitask and prioritize conflicting requirements
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills and ability to succinctly summarize key findings
• Intellectually curious and continuously striving to learn.
  

YOU BRING (EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS)

• 
  Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s Degree in Computer Science or equivalent
• 5+ years of relevant experience in Data Engineering stream
• Expertise in SQL, especially within cloud-based data warehouses like Snowflake
• Professional experience in building robust data pipelines using ETL tools (e.g. Alteryx, Talend, SSIS etc.) is must
• Must understand API integration using Python for extracting data from different sources
• Working knowledge of AWS services like s3, lambda, glue, cloud formation etc.
• Knowledge of Dbt cloud for orchestrating data models is a plus
• Understanding of version controlling tools like github, SVN etc, is plus
• Experience of working in complex projects, including strategic and tactical planning and implementation, analysis, design, technology selection and deployment
• Experience with Agile and Scrum preferred
