Business Intelligence Analyst

Reporting to the Transportation & Logistics Strategic Sourcing Director, this position is responsible turn data into sound analysis and be able to present the analysis through organized data sets, graphical presentations, and/or meaningful narratives. The analyst uses advanced analytics, predictive modeling results, and transfers knowledge to sourcing managers, business leaders, and other business stakeholders to facilitate sound business decisions. The goal of business intelligence analyst is to understand and document current business conditions, performance, and identify areas for improvement.

Specific responsibilities include:
Interpret data, analyze results using statistical techniques and provide ongoing reports
Develop and implement data collection systems and other strategies that optimize statistical efficiency and data quality
Gather information from different sources through different tools and techniques manipulate, analyze and interpret complex data sets relating to the Stakeholder business.
Provides analytic support by coordinating data extraction from various databases and data interpretation
Responsible for preparing various statistical reports on operational performance on monthly, quarterly and annual basis
Prepare reports for internal and external audiences using business analytics reporting tools create data dashboards, graphs and visualizations
Evaluate business data to identify their different characteristics and locate their similarities to find ways they can be integrated for better results. Talk to stakeholders to understand data content and its purposes.
Acquire data from primary or secondary data sources and maintain databases/data systems
Identify, analyze, and interpret trends or patterns in complex data sets
Work closely with management to prioritize business and information needs
Locate and define new process improvement opportunities
Acts as a liaison with category leaders for RFP issuing, eAuction and pricing analysisBasic Qualifications:

• Major in one of these areas:

Business information systems, computer science, economics, information management, mathematics, statistics or any other if skills are validated.

• Knowledge of Snowflake software
• Excellent numerical and analytical skills, knowledge of data analysis tools – data entry, use Excel, 1 DB and one programming language, familiarity with other relational databases (e.g. MS Access, SQL)
• Knowledge of data modelling, data cleansing, and data enrichment techniques & Workflow creation
• 2+ years’ experience as a Data Analyst
• 2+ years’ experience in , Digitization, Statistics, Data Management Analytics
• 2+ years’ experience in Supply Management/Sourcing/Procurement
• Adept at queries, report writing and presenting findings

Additional Qualifications:
Proven working experience as a data analyst, Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy.
Technical expertise regarding data models, database design development, data mining and segmentation techniques
Programming for data and analytics VBA and SQL Server
Strong knowledge of and experience with reporting packages (Business Objects etc), databases (SQL etc)
Business intelligence and analytics platforms - Tableau
Knowledge of statistics and experience using statistical packages for analyzing large datasets (Excel)
Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy
Demonstrates high energy and models’ behaviors to motivate others.
Execution skills including persistent drive for results utilizing sound project management, organizational and problem-solving skills.
Technical skills including data management, digitization, and analytics.
Experienced in managing a complex multi-site multi-system data.
