Sr Analytics Specialist

The ISC Analytics team, is responsible for identifying data and empowering business users with actionable insights to improve Supply Chain operational performance and process efficiencies. The skills mix of this team is a blend of an exhaustive knowledge of supply chain concepts, data analysis, data engineering, data science and diverse problem-solving capabilities.

The team uses an extensive list of analytics tools including but not limited to Snowflake, Dremio, Data Bricks, SQL, Alteryx, Tableau, Python and SAP HANA platforms to perform advanced analysis on key metrics and initiatives.

In this role, you will be engaging with Supply Chain Leaders/ Decision makers across HON to define & deliver on supply chain Analytics solutions that will increase efficiencies/reduce costs/drive Supply Chain transformation.

As the Application Development Leader Responsible of the ISC Analytics team would support a range of initiatives in Supply chain organization through analysis, process improvements & project management. Is responsible to solve logistics / inventory / Manufacturing Yield and supply chain challenges through data analysis, innovation and process optimization. Sr Analytics Specialist works as an individual contributor, facilitates KPI Performance monitoring and management across supply chain. Act as a mentor to other team members in supply chain functional areas.

SPECIFIC JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Work closely with business partners to translate complex business problems into analytics problems and solutions. Ask questions to understand business intent, problem statement, analytics opportunity and value creation.
• Apply technical domain knowledge and analytics to practical problems to develop new innovative analytics solutions/platforms/ offerings.
• Work independently for solving complex problems with minimum guidance. Quickly learn the use of tools, data sources and analytical techniques needed to answer a wide range of critical business questions. Support the evaluation of the need of technology and novel scientific software, visualization tools and new approaches to increase efficiency.
• Drive supply chain efficiencies and enable change management to drive costs down.
• Independently identify novel ideas and propose them for application to business problems/ scenarios.
• Plan and execute data mining, data integration, trend analysis, report development and custom analytics to create solutions and align with organizational strategies.
• Deploy data forecasting models that will drive strategic insights & continuous improvement.
• Drive the greater adoption of Snowflake within HON.
• Coach & mentor Analytics Specialist 1 & 2

CRITICAL COMPETENCIES:

• As an application developer - Ability to use Design and develop Analytics applications using Niche technologies.
• Expert in React.js, Node.js and other front end technologies
• Able to design and develop APIs using Node.
• Expert knowledge in microservices design and development
• Decent Knowledge in ASP.net and SQL server
• Strong intuition for data and keen aptitude on large scale data analysis
• Excellent problem-solving ability and results oriented focus. Ability to translate analysis and insights into actionable recommendations.
• Understand ambiguous issues / scenarios - able to distil learning and simplify
• Good understanding of supply chain processes and their interdependencies.
• Excellent analytical skills with demonstrated ability to query, analyses, explain and draw logical conclusions from operational & financial data and present findings in a simple manner

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

Education: BE/ B Tech in any Engg discipline + MS/MBA in Business Analytics,

Supply chain Operations, Industrial Engineering or any related field. MBA and CPIM is a plus

Certifications in Business Analytics

Experience: 3 - 5 years of Proven Reporting & Analytics Experience.

ESSENTIAL TECHNICAL SKILLS:

• Expert in React.js, Node.js and other front end technologies

• Expert knowledge in microservices design and development
• Expert Knowledge in ASP.net and SQL server
• Comfortable with concepts of applied mathematics and statistics
• Project Management skills - Ability to manage a project, report out on action status, and provide clear verbal and written status
• Good Data crunching and presentation/ interpretation skills- Story building + delivery
