Job description
The successful candidate must have Air/Ocean Import Lead Agent background within the freight forwarding industry(US Market). The position is responsible to timely and efficiently manage air imports, nation-wide, and to providing the highest level of customer service to all customers by creating competitive transportation solutions.
Anticipating, identifying and resolving possible issues that may delay the timely delivery of shipments is a critical factor to the success of the product and the company.
You would need to develop and maintain strong relationships and trust with all team members, clients, service providers and partners which include but not limited to shipping lines, trucking companies, Customs brokers.
Successful candidate would need to:
- Provide reliable services and develop new business opportunities
- Successfully manage all daily business activities and tasks
- Ensure timely billing to customers
- Timely process incoming billing from service partners
- Ability to multi-task and operate in highly pressurized environment
Functions include but not limited to:
- Input shipments into freight forwarding operating system
- Process payments to Airlines
- Create Delivery Appointments for deliveries
- Dispatch shipment to the respective truckers, LTL and FTL
- Follow up on arrival and availability of shipments
- Receive and Print Customs releases received from various Customs brokers
- Match up files
- Dispatch shipments to the designated truckers
Other qualifications required:
- Above 10 years Years of proven industry-specific experience( Import/export, Logistic-US Market)
- Proven leadership and interpersonal skills
- High proficiency in Microsoft Office including Word and Excel
- Team player
- Effectively and clearly communicate
Salary commensurate with experience
