Key Responsibilities:
Conduct site inspections for insurance claims (e.g., vehicle, property, marine, fire, or theft).
Assess the extent of damage or loss and estimate repair or replacement costs.
Verify policy coverage and identify any discrepancies or fraudulent activities.
Collect photographic and documentary evidence for claim evaluation.
Prepare detailed survey reports with factual findings and recommendations.
Coordinate with insurance companies, clients, and repair vendors.
Provide technical opinions to support the claim settlement process.
Maintain timely documentation and ensure regulatory compliance.
Handle multiple cases simultaneously while meeting deadlines.
Key Skills Required:
Strong knowledge of insurance policies and claim procedures
Technical understanding of damage assessment (automobile, property, machinery, etc.)
Excellent report writing and documentation skills
Good analytical and observational skills
Proficiency in using surveyor software/tools and MS Office
Strong communication and negotiation skills
Attention to detail and problem-solving ability
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Surveying, Insurance, or related field
IRDAI License (mandatory for surveyors in India)
Minimum 2-5 years of relevant experience in claim surveying or inspection.
