Position Overview:
We invite applications for the position of Japanese Language Instructor to join our globally committed and culturally diverse faculty. This is a full-time, in-residence role based at our beautiful 80-acre campus in Sonipat, in the National Capital Region (NCR) of Delhi.
The selected candidate will contribute to the growth of Japanese language education and cultural understanding at JGU, and play a key role in fostering academic and cultural exchange between India and Japan.
Key Responsibilities

• Teach introductory and intermediate-level Japanese language courses to undergraduate and postgraduate students.
• Design an interactive, learner-centered curriculum grounded in both language and Japanese culture.
• Collaborate on co-curricular activities, including festivals, workshops, film screenings, and language immersion events.
• Provide academic advising and mentorship to students pursuing Japanese studies.
• Support the development of JGU's Japan-focused initiatives, including partnerships, exchange programs, and academic events.

Qualifications & Eligibility

• Master's degree or higher in Japanese Language, Linguistics, Literature, or a closely related field.
• Certification in Japanese-Language Proficiency Test (JLPT) N1 or N2 strongly preferred.
• Prior university-level teaching experience desirable.
• Excellent communication skills and cross-cultural sensitivity.
• Interest in building Japan-India academic relations through language and culture.
• Willingness to relocate to India by Fall 2025 or earlier.
