Job Title: Infrastructure Engineering Senior Engineer

Position Description:

• We are seeking an experienced AVD / Windows 365 SME with 10+ years of expertise to lead the design, implementation, and management of Azure Virtual Desktop and Windows 365 environments.
• The ideal candidate will have in-depth knowledge of the architecture, deployment, and optimization of virtual desktop infrastructure to support enterprise-wide operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the design, architecture, and deployment of AVD and Windows 365 solutions in enterprise scale.
• Build scalable, secure, and highly available virtual desktop infrastructure tailored to business needs.
• Collaborate with IT teams to integrate AVD/W365 with existing cloud/on-prem systems.
• Develop deployment strategies, automation scripts, and infrastructure-as-code templates.
• Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize performance and security of virtual desktop environments.
• Provide technical leadership and guidance to implementation teams.
• Conduct capacity planning, cost management, and scalability assessments.
• Stay updated with the latest Microsoft technologies and best practices related to AVD and W365.
• Create technical documentation, deployment guides, and training materials.
• Support migration from Citrix desktop virtualization platform to AVD/W365.
• Work closely with security and compliance teams to meet regulatory requirements.

Skills Required:

• Microsoft Azure, Virtualization, Powershell, TERRAFORM

Experience Required:

• Senior Engineer
• Minimum 10 years of IT experience with a strong focus on virtual desktop infrastructure.
• Expertise in Microsoft Azure, specifically Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD) and Windows 365.
• Proven experience in designing, building, and deploying enterprise level AVD/W365 environments.
• Strong knowledge of networking, identity management (Azure AD, Active Directory), and security principles.
• Deep understanding of Windows 11 environments and management.
• Proficiency in PowerShell scripting and automation tools like Azure ARM templates, Terraform, or similar.
• Experience with Microsoft Endpoint Manager, Intune, and Group Policy management.
• Hands-on experience with monitoring tools like Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, and performance tuning.
• Strong communication and documentation skills.
• Relevant certifications such as Microsoft Certified: Azure Virtual Desktop Specialty or equivalent are preferred.

Experience Preferred:

• Experience in migrations from Citrix VDI solutions to AVD/W365.
• Knowledge of cloud cost optimization and licensing models for virtual desktops.
• Ability to lead workshops and training sessions for technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Education Required:

• Bachelor's Degree
