Job Title: Infrastructure Engineering Engineer III
Location: Chennai
Work Type: Hybrid
Position Description:

• This Systems Engineering Development position will be to design, develop, and support the automation of virtual infrastructure as code hosted primarily on-prem datacenter on platforms such as VMWare and OpenShift.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain automation to deliver infrastructure as code
• Support and operate infrastructure platforms in on-prem data centers

Soft Skills Required:

• Pairing with team members occasionally required.
• Must be able to work on a Global team.
• Exceptional technical writing skills (run books, DR plans, platform architecture, etc.)
• Ability to work with a variety of cross functional teams to support deployment to remote locations across the global.
• Must a self-starter, capable of working independently and within a team with minimum supervision.
• Must have good communication skills.

Experience Required:
Technical Skills Must Have:

• (5+ years) Strong Linux knowledge on multiple platforms (RHEL, Ubuntu, SUSE).
• (1+ years) Experience in use of Kubernetes.
• (1+ years) Experience with OpenShift Virtualization
• (1+ years) Experience with automation tools such as ArgoCD, GitHub Actions, Ansible.
• (2+ years) Experience in use of container technologies.
• (3+ years) In-depth use of Cloud-based PaaS and IaaS.
• GCP experience preferred.
• (2+ years) Experience with GIT and CI/CD pipelines.

Tekton experience preferred:

• (3+ years) Experience in programming with languages such as python, node.js, JavaScript, shell scripting
• (2+ years) Experience in application and RESTFUL API development
• (2+ years) Experience with multiple databases such as SQL, Oracle, DB2, Postgres, Mongo
• (2+ years) Experience with automated testing, code quality, and security tools such as Cycode, 42Crunch, Checkmarx, Sonarqube, etc..
• Working knowledge of application development architectures, web deployment methodologies and mobile technologies.
• This position requires a wide breadth of skills and experience in-order to develop new application hosting platforms and strategies.

Experience Preferred:
Technical Skills Nice to Have:

• Experience with IT Automation products such as Terraform, Habitat, Ansible Chef, etc.
• Experience with Ansible Automation Platform
• Experience with VMWare ESX, vCenter, VRA, VRO.
• Experience with network load balancers (SLB, GSLB).
• Experience with storage (Block, NFS)
