We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Lead Consultant Specialist

• Leading the cloud architecture, planning and support development work for different pods in this space
• Opportunity to work in hybrid environment covering public cloud & on prem environments
• Solving challenges posed by large-scale, high-tech applications (such as low latency, high availability, increase in volumes etc.)
• Guide the Infra team in making correct technology and architecture related decisions, leading design and NFR requirements
• Bring structure to the programme by getting the right people together, setting up technical governance as well as an internal design authority
• Focus on technical debt, cyber security, reducing software vulnerabilities using DevOps tools and work towards continuous improvements while designing new solutions
• Implement, maintain, and stabilize on premise and public cloud infrastructure and mange deployments using CICD pipelines tools such as Ansible /Jenkins and Teamcity
• Work on cost analysis for cloud/on-prem hardware and create consumption dashboards for both on premise and cloud infrastructure.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you should meet the following requirements:

• 12+ years of experience in IT infrastructure management with managing complex Database and Linux environments
• Strong experience in Linux based environments supporting infrastructure demands for micro-services running on Cloud platform (Google cloud and Ali cloud) and Linux
• Strong experience on Oracle infra maintenance, DML/DDLs, performance tuning, storage management, backup / recovery, test support, production support and monitoring / alerting on Oracle databases
• Support and own production infrastructure issues.
• Should have worked as subject matter expert for PostgreSQL design, build, maintenance and support. Develop in-house knowledge in PostgreSQL set up, admin tasks, infra maintenance, performance tuning, storage management, backup / recovery, test support, production support and monitoring / alerting on PostgreSQL databases
• Should have hands on experience in managing middleware technologies on both on premise and GCP.
• Should have knowledge in Google cloud infra support: Cloud SQL, Big Query and Cloud Storage - standardize set up, issue guidelines and best practices,
• Should have experience in automating data migrations from one RDBMS to another RDBMS, on premise as well as on cloud.
• Expert in distributed computing and managing large databases for OLAP and OLTP use cases
• Should have understanding of Data virtualization tools like Denodo, Dremio, Delphix etc
• Strong understanding of infrastructure designs patterns available both on premise and cloud
• Should have in depth understanding of tools like Grafana, Jenkins, Ansible Rundeck, Teamcity, for CICD management and monitoring.
• The candidate must be strong with basic infrastructure engineering concepts and should be very hands on with development\xe2\x80\x93 including infrastructure, networking, database management systems, caching, monitoring and site reliability engineering
• Experience in leading medium to large development engineering teams
• Should be able to automate the infrastructure tasks like patching, monitoring and alerting.
• Should have knowledge of how infrastructure is billed, should be responsible in analyzing the infrastructure costs, creating and maintaining cost dashboards
• Should be a problem solver. You will be tested daily on how you approach problems and resolve them
• Must be able to clearly articulate problems and their solutions in a business-friendly manner as well as a way that developers and BAs understand.
• Self-motivated and willing to learn new technologies and business domain
• Supporting the existing infrastructure and platform, resolving issues, employing best practices from a production support practice perspective
• Strong program management and/or technical implementation, and experience of driving complex, global, business-critical programs and/or systems at pace
• Ability to make key strategic recommendations that are pragmatic and grounded in practical solutions
• Proven ability to work across regions whilst maintaining a global perspective
• Experience of delivering technology modernization (e.g. monolith to micro services), building service resiliency and scalable solutions
• Conversant and comfortable in discussing technology strategy at senior levels of business leadership.
• Capability to influence and champion new ideas and technical direction within the organization.
• Appreciation of the challenges and complexity around the delivery of large, strategic, enterprise level solutions, and the importance of adhering to group standards, policies and best practices
