Information Technology Support Engineer

Job Description

We are looking for a friendly and outgoing Systems Engineer to support our global teams and user applications and systems. While ensuring our teams trouble tickets are resolved and documented properly, you will expand your IT (Information Technology) skills and knowledge as you work alongside our IT Group on exciting new technical projects.

Key responsibilities

Respond to inbound helpdesk tickets through JIRA Service Desk, instant messaging, telephone calls and face-to-face conversations. Implement, maintain and support switches, routers, firewalls, VPNs, LAN, WIFI, and WAN connectivity. Implement, maintain and support Windows and Linux servers, Active Directory, and Azure. Implement, maintain and support virtualization, CICD pipelines, and collaboration suites. Implement, maintain and support a wide variety of endpoint devices. Implement, maintain and support conference and training room solutions Document and maintain our IT Knowledgebase Provide escalation support from IT Operations Escalate as required to fellow IT Engineers Our Requirements: 4-6 years working as a Systems Administrator, Systems Engineer, or related work experience. Bachelors degree in Computer Science or related field. IT experience with increased responsibility of IT roles may substitute for a degree. Excellent interpersonal communication skills and proven customer service abilities, including the ability to communicate technical concepts verbally and in writing to employees. Demonstrated strong troubleshooting skills and outside the box thinking. Ability to tailor the delivery of technical information based on the audience. Willingness to learn, train, and elevate members of the IT team. Ability to learn quickly and apply new skills, procedures, and approaches. Ability to thrive and work in a team-oriented environment. Provide back-up support to team members and foster positive working relationships with co-workers within and across functional areas within the organization. Demonstrated ability to multi-task and shift priorities at any given time. Experience using and supporting the following: o Microsoft Server 201X and Windows 10 o Apple OSX and iOS o Redhat and Ubuntu o Microsoft Office 365 and Exchange o Palo Alto firewalls o Working knowledge of DevOps environment o Ring Central, Teams, and Slack collaborative tools o VMWare hosted servers and applications o Working knowledge of Amazon Web Services o Atlassian JIRA, Service Desk, Bitbucket and Confluence o Networking troubleshooting knowledge (Ethernet/Wi-Fi, etc.)

Physical requirements

Ability to lift 50Lbs, or 22kg Ability to work in server room and office environments Must be able to work safely and maintain a safe working environment for others Hours are typical 9-5; occasional on-call/after-hours work is likely - due to nature of IT work Travel required between offices (as needed by project/issue)
