Due to increasing demand from Products and Markets for in-depth insights about P&C Re In-force portfolios, In-Force Management has a new opportunity in Bangalore to further strengthen our analytics capabilities. This new role offers an excellent opportunity to collaborate with teams both regionally and globally across the entire Property & Casualty (P&C) value chain.
About the Role
You will be responsible for overseeing and ensuring timely execution of agreed tasks and activities with a focus on Data & Analytics on P&C Re In-force portfolio. In particular, you will support the In-force Managers by analyzing and monitoring the P&C Re portfolio, designing and implementing solutions and taking ownership of In-force portfolio analytics tasks.
This In-force Management Analyst role is based in Bangalore, operating with a high level of autonomy and accountability while supporting In-force Management teams worldwide. You will work closely with the In-force Managers in delivering products and solutions to stakeholders at both Product and Market levels.
These activities may include:

• Collaborating closely with global In-force Management teams and also with other stakeholders e.g. claims, underwriting, finance, market units etc.

• Proactively analyzing and monitoring the P&C Re In-force portfolio with a strong knowledge and understanding of Swiss Re's data and systems.

• Delivering in-depth insights into portfolios and business risks to stakeholders at both Product and Market levels enhancing portfolio sustainability and resilience on a regular and ad hoc bases.

• Designing and implementing effective and creative solutions using portfolio analytics to monitor and steer portfolios through cross-functional collaboration as a champion for Operations.

• Analyzing and interpreting financial results under the various valuation methods used within Swiss Re.

Our newly established In-force team in Bangalore works closely with the local P&C Re UW teams and direct reports into P&C Operations, In-force Management. We are a culturally diverse team, operating in a dynamic environment with significant impact on the strength and performance of Swiss Re's reinsurance business.
The division encompasses Claims Management, Technical Accounting, Business Services, Business Excellence (Governance, Data Enabling, Consulting), Transaction Management and In-force Management.

About You
You are a solution-driven professional with strong technical expertise, creativity and innovative thinking complemented with a high level of curiosity and willingness to learn. Your interpersonal skills enable you to work effectively across diverse teams, and you have a proven ability to manage complexity and diversity within an organization. With excellent communication, strategic agility, and strong organizational skills, you actively contribute to decision-making and strategy implementation.
Additional requirements:

• Highly motivated, engaged, proactive, and an excellent team player.
• Minimum of 2-3 years' experience in the Property & Casualty (Re)insurance industry with a good working knowledge of how the industry works.
• Strong analytical skills and high proficiency with numbers and data. Background in mathematics, actuarial science or other quantitative discipline could be suitable.
• Excel skills in financial modelling.
• Experience with computer programming and working with complex datasets would be a plus.
• Preferred experience in Power BI, with the ability to design, develop, and interpret dashboards and reports for business insights.
• Strong relationship-builder who engages effectively with others, fosters commitment, and maintains a cross-functional perspective while constructively challenging peers in and outside Operations.
• Strong communication and critical thinking skills.
