About you:

1. Should understand the financial modeling process and understand the nuances of different approaches to modeling

2. Having either an experience of leading a team of 6 to 10 people or understanding a sector thoroughly is a must. Candidates fulfilling both these criteria will be preferred.

3. 8+ years of experience in the application of concepts like financial statements, GAAP/Recurring income, ratio analysis.

4. Demonstrated experience in creating consensus models would be a plus.

5. An eye for detail and the ability to identify errors in modeling (and consensus models) and then look for these errors on a systematics basis

6. Deep expertise in specific sectors would be a plus as would be ability to understand inter-play\dependencies between sectors and ability to identify key macroeconomic factors and their impact on company fortunes.

7. Aptitude for problem-solving and troubleshooting around unstructured and new problem sets.

8. Excellent academic credentials in B.com/M.com/MBA/CFA.

Job Responsibilities and Job Progression:

1. The role expects the candidate to

? Get familiar with our data capture process, master the process of teaching the 'system'(AI that we deploy for data capture) model structure and component relationships

? Bring their understanding of the financial modeling and industry analysis to the table while reviewing data

? Review data for final signoff for client use

? Mentor team members and enable mentees to scale up in terms of industry knowledge to enable more efficient knowledge capture

? Inculcate an approach among mentees to look at data from the client perspective

2. Develop and demonstrate a strong understanding of diverse business models for public-listed companies and the inter relationship of the value chain.

3. Collaborate actively within the team to improve the efficiency of the overall data collection process.

4. Surface and effectively communicate key modeling approaches among sell-side research content and highlight errors in models to improve the basic inputs of decision making for the investing community.

5. Track events for a set of companies starting with corporate earnings and M&A transactions with an eye on changes in models.

6. Collaborate actively within the team to improve the efficiency of the overall process.

8. Contribute to planning and meeting deadlines with quality standards.

9. Identify best practices and creating SOP's for modeling a company / Industry or around issues like M&A

10. Interactions with internal data and Engineering teams to communicate issues and suggest enhancements

11. Contribute to upcoming Visible Alpha product/project initiatives on the basis on their understanding of Visible Alpha data sets and industry understanding.
