Purpose of Job You will be in charge to ensure the compliance of products and parts delivered by the ALSTOM facilities. He/ She performs inspections, checks, tests, and sampling procedures according to the applicable instructions on products ready for delivery and on products during their manufacturing process according to Control Plan per Project and internal procedures (highlighting Special Processes). You will record associated NCRs, results, and KPIs. You must be lead the continuous improvement and the prevention of Quality defects in order to obtain more efficiency and goes to the excellence.
Organization Structure The Industrial quality Engineer will report hierarchically to Industrial Quality Leader
Mission & Responsibility To ensure the Quality of produced products you will encourage, promote and facilitate the properly criteria to Production and performs inspections of subassemblies or finished ALSTOM products according to well defined criteria using standard physical, mechanical and/ or electrical measurements. Contributes into site improvement actions and programs related to the IQ scope.
Support new product launches to ensure that supplier quality meets the required standards - Perform on-site supplier visits for root cause analysis and verification of correction actions of supplier quality issues - Collate and evaluate supplier quality data to identify process improvement opportunities within the supply chain - Promote the use of customer preferred techniques for continuous improvement such as Lean, Six-Sigma, Poka-Yoke (Error Proofing), Measurement System Analysis, and Process Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (PFMEA) - Undertake special projects as required
  • Functionally manages the team of inspectors in CBS Workshop.
  • Reporting of KPIs, defects, quality incidents.
  • Accepts or Reject products as defined in the work instructions and drawings.
  • Accurately document NCR and results of the inspections and testing
  • Drive Right First Time culture to develop continuous improvement and preventive actions to increase the level of quality performance in the Workshop (QRQC, Defect feedback loop, Pareto...).
  • Deployment of the self-inspection and workstation audit plan with efficiency.
  • Maintain all controlled document files and test records in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Ensure the calibration of critical equipment and instrumentation used in the inspections.
  • Ensure all the characteristics in Control Plan are deployed in the manufacturing processes.
  • Assist in the writing and updating inspection procedures and checklists.
  • Evaluate problems and make initial recommendations for possible corrective action.
  • Reports to the Industrial Quality Managers the synthesis of inspection results, including KPIs. Stop the production in case of a defect which justifies mandatory rework.
  • Escalate the anomalies detected on the production lines & ensure their effective treatment (QRQC tool).
  • Support manufacturing teams regarding the self-inspection.
  • Ensure quality animation methodology, in line with APSYS requirements.

Qualification and Skills Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical…) or equivalent. 6 - 10 years of experience in Quality Assurance / Quality Control
