Kitchen management:
Manage and maintain inventory of ingredients, place orders as needed, and ensure freshness.
Hygiene and safety:
Maintain a high standard of cleanliness and hygiene in the kitchen and ensure all food is prepared and stored safely in compliance with regulations.
Recipe and menu development:
Assist in creating new menu items or specials, while also ensuring the authenticity and quality of traditional recipes are maintained.
Staff supervision:
Train and supervise junior kitchen staff, coordinate their activities, and monitor schedules.
Operational support:
Assist with budgeting, planning kitchen operations, and collaborating with other staff to ensure smooth service.
Specialization:
Some roles may require specialization, such as a Tandoori Chef who operates the tandoor oven or a South Indian Cook focusing on dishes like dosa and idli.
