Coordinate with suppliers, customers, freight forwarders, and other logistics providers to ensure the timely and efficient movement of goods. Negotiate shipping rates and monitor shipments from origin to destination.
Documentation and compliance:
Prepare and process all necessary import and export documents, such as invoices, packing lists, and bills of lading. Ensure compliance with all relevant international trade regulations, laws, and tariffs.
Regulatory awareness:
Stay up-to-date on changes in international trade regulations and policies to ensure the company's operations remain compliant.
Record keeping and reporting:
Maintain accurate and organized records of all import and export transactions and prepare reports as needed.
Stakeholder coordination:
Act as a liaison between various internal and external stakeholders, including customs authorities, suppliers, and clients.
Problem-solving:
Address and resolve any issues that may arise during the shipping process, such as delays or customs complications.
Required skills and qualifications
Strong understanding of international trade regulations and procedures.
Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
Attention to detail and accuracy in handling documentation.
