Responsibilities

Machine operation:

Operate an idiyappam making machine (manual or automatic) to produce idiyappam.

Dough preparation:

Prepare the rice flour dough according to recipe requirements.

Loading and extrusion:

Load the prepared dough into the machine's hopper or chamber and operate the machine to extrude the noodles through a die plate.

Steaming:

Transfer the extruded noodles onto trays or directly into a steamer to be cooked.

Cleaning and maintenance:

Clean the machine parts, dies, and work area after each use to maintain hygiene standards.

Quality control:

Ensure the idiyappam is of consistent size, shape, and quality.

Stock and inventory:

Monitor and manage the supply of raw materials (rice flour, water, etc.).
Skills and qualifications

Basic literacy:

Ability to read and understand instructions and recipes.

Manual dexterity:

Skill in handling and operating machinery, even if the role provides training.

Physical stamina:

Ability to stand for extended periods and perform manual tasks like loading and unloading.

Attention to detail:

Focus on maintaining hygiene and producing a quality product.

Training provided:

Many roles, especially entry-level ones, provide on-the-job training, making experience less critical.

Work ethic:

Punctuality, reliability, and a willingness to learn are important for these roles.

Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
