In this role, you will support innovation & design as well as assist in technical implementation of analytical data, dashboards, and associated processes for International Consumer Business (ICB) - Chase UK. As the Oversight and Analytics lead for risk data team , you will be required to manage a team of data analysts and work closely with senior team members and wide range of stakeholders such as business, data providers, and support functions to understand requirements, complete feasibility study, and create proposals around credit and fraud risk needs to conduct complex analysis and provide accurate and concise results with recommendations to management.

Responsibilities

  • Seasoned risk professional with strong data management , governance & visualization expertise to support risk teams by coordinating with various stakeholder and ensuring delivery per business needs for retail credit products.
  • Manage business requirement in a structured manner, keep stakeholders updated of progress & challenges and navigate through various stakeholder to deliver on work assigned.
  • Work closely with a range of stakeholders across the ICB organization, including business leads, data providers and technology colleagues to understand requirements, complete feasibility studies to create proposals and development requirements for implementing decisioning system functionality.
  • Be responsible for production and substantiation of a varied range of monthly and quarterly data , reporting and control needs around credit and fraud risk.
  • Interact with key functional stakeholders to understand requirements, identify data sources, work with end-users and our leadership team, to deliver objectives.
  • Work with technology partners in the preparation of data, dashboards and qualitative analysis to summarize and present key risks in a succinct manner
  • Able to perform data analysis using technical tools e.g., Python, SAS, SQL, MS-Suite, Alteryx , Tableau , Looker
  • Partner with risk reporting, risk management, finance and technology teams across locations
  • Present to senior management team and Chief Risk Officer to articulate key risks and trends.
  • Implement and maintain remediation solutions for risk reporting to ensure compliance to BCBS 239.
  • Provide relevant training for standard methodologies and tools to new team members
  • Strong people management skills and experience managing small teams
Minimum Skills, Experience and Qualifications

  • 10+ years of experience in designing and architecting data and reporting solutions
  • 3+ years of team/ people management experience
  • Thorough understanding of data structures , data manipulation , metadata , data security and data quality manipulation.
  • Experience in developing strategies for effective data analysis and reporting
  • Experience leading and developing a team of data analysts / BI engineers
  • Experience in data warehousing, logical data model, data management, data analytics, data governance, reporting and dashboard
  • Exposure around utilizing statistical models/ algorithms and data visualization techniques
  • Overall experience of 10+ years and relevant 6+ in Banking/ Financial Services with building and project managing analytics solutions Experience with relational databases utilizing SQL to pull and summarize large datasets, report creation and ad-hoc analysis
  • Demonstrate ability to think beyond raw data and to understand the underlying business context and sense business opportunities hidden in the data
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Data analytics using Python is a plus
  • Advanced MS Office suite skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Visio, Project)
  • A very strong track record of ownership and accountability will be key to the success of this role
  • Experience of working in an Agile framework
  • Highly effective in narrating the analytical output to stake holders, draw agreement on business actions or formulate impact strategies
  • Knowledge of UK Retail Banking , Credit Risk and Fraud Risk is a must
