The achievers and courageous challenge-crushers we seek, have the following characteristics and skills: A Snapshot of Your Day In our multicultural HVDC Control team you will design, implement and verify innovative open and closed loop control systems for HVDC applications in cooperation with the project management, system and equipment designers as well as customers. First you will create a concept for a HVDC control function, and you will implement it using Matlab/Simulink. Next step is to run automated tests using our software-in-the-loop (SIL) test environment followed by integration in the hardware-in-the-loop test setup. Together with your colleagues you will verify the function integrated in the whole control and protection system. You will share your knowledge by creating documentation and performing trainings with colleagues as well as customers. How You\'ll Make an Impact Design of open and closed loop control systems for high voltage direct current systems (HVDC) Preparation of design specifications, documentation and effort estimations Clarification of technical requirements within project teams as well as with customers and suppliers Implementation of control software in MATLAB/SIMULINK as well as verification using simulation tools and real-time test environments Remote support during commissioning and service of HVDC systems What You Bring University degree in electrical engineering with focus on energy and control technology and profound professional experience Good knowledge in converter- and high voltage technology, as well as in open and closed loop controls Good MATLAB/SIMULINK knowledge including model-based implementation and verification Experience in the configuration of automation systems, preferably SIMATIC TDC / S7 Very good English language skills, German language skills are of advantage
